What is your name : George Elbert
Who do you want the poem written for: Dixie, my wife
Why do you want the poem written: 20th Wedding Anniversary
What are the key messages you would like to send: Thank you, Dixie, for being a wonderful mother / mom to the children, for taking care of the house and the family.
Two children, Sara and Trey (son who's name is George III, but they call him Trey).
After they were married, they flew to Albuquerque, NM with another couple and rented a large motor van (RV) (caravan, Allen). Wonderful trip. They rented a houseboat in Key West, FL for 3-4 days. They spent 1 year in St. Croix, USBI .They honeymooned in St. Barts (idealistic) and then in Hawaii. They had two different wedding ceremonies. One was a non-denominational, second one was 9 months later (on Valentine's Day) with the Catholic church present. Both ceremonies were in Reading, PA. One of them was a 200 people sit down, "so much fun"! When their daughter was 1 or 1 ? they moved to Jupiter, FL. They have two wonderful children who wouldn't be what they are today if not for Dixie. They have been on several vacations:; Bahamas; Sana Bell / Captive Animal Kingdom / Disney; Air shows on the beach in Lauderdale; Quite time at McDonalds Farm. They have a business out of their house, and it can become very hectic. He loves her very much.

| Hello, my wonderful Dixie, these words are just for you, because I'm proud of who you are, and I'm very proud of what you do. And I just wanted to say "I love you", but in truth, I didn't know where to start, so I thought I'd share a few feelings, and give you some words, straight from the heart. Firstly, I'd like to begin by looking skywards, and thanking those in the heavens above, because I know I've been blessed to have shared you, I know that I've been blessed with your love. I wanted to thank you for being such a wonderful mom, I think of Sara and Trey and my chest swells with pride, and I know they couldn't have chosen a finer mother, I know they couldn't - even if they'd tried. You also look after the house the family, and of both, you truly do take great care, and whenever I need a best friend to talk to, well, it's nice to know that you're always there. And we've shared so many wonderful moments, in truth, there's just too many to individually list, just know that each and every one is precious, there's not one that we would have missed. You are so good I had to marry you twice, and at one of them, 200 guests had a "sit down", and I'll never forget our idealistic honeymoon in St. Barts, and nor Honolulu (not a bad little town). Do you remember when we flew to Albuquerque? With another couple, we rented out that motor home, that indeed was such a memorable trip, but one thing we've always liked to do is roam. So, we've rented a houseboat in Key West, we even spent a year in St. Croix, USBI, and then we explored the Universe, or was it Jupiter? Either way, it's you, Dixie, who has taught us how to fly. Because our two wonderful children are that, wonderful, and it's thanks to you who they really are, just know that if our love for you were a distance, then it would be further than the furthest star. I know the business can make the house a little hectic, but we would never have made it, without your magical touch, just know that we all think you're rather special, and yes Dixie, I do love you, very, very much. I also wanted to say: "Happy 20th Anniversary", I guess that's really what these words are for, here's to you, Dixie, you're truly wonderful, and here's to our everlasting love, for evermore. |
