A poem for my husband telling him our life will now be complete on the arrival of our first child

Who do you want the poem written for: My husband : Jonathan Warner - nick name from me Jonny
Why do you want the poem written: We are expecting our 1st baby on the 16th August, and I would like a unique gift to him from myself telling him how much I love him.We are expecting a girl and we have named her Robyn Louisa, I have searched for an expectant father to be gift and have found nothing that really tells him how much I love him and how happy I am to finally have our family complete. I think a poem to him written for him will be the ideal gift and keepsake. I really want a loving, tearful poem written for Jonny, from myself detailing how much I love him and how happy he makes me, and also how when he receives this poem in hospital when he holds our Robyn for the 1st time telling him now how our life is complete.
What are the key messages you would like to send: For 3 half years Jonathan has been a friend to me, he was always there if not in person but always on the end of the phone. We both have had difficult times in those 3 half years, which made our friendship what it is today. Then out of the blue we met up and both of us were available to which our friendship blossomed into something much more wonderful. We fell in love. The distance between us was unbearable, Jon lived in London and I lived in Cornwall. Which we both decided we loved each other dearly and wanted to spend the rest of our lives together. I moved to London to be with him, we got a house and got married. We are so happy. We decided we wanted to make our life complete by having a family. So we tried for a baby, we had a lot of heartache along the way with trying for a baby, but then Nov 2003 we conceived our baby! We are so happy, we have watched and watched my body change shape with the pregnancy and everyday seeing our baby grow that little bit more. She is the most wanted baby in the world... We had her nursery completed before she was even conceived, and she has so many lovely things here waiting for her when she arrives. We both love her dearly, and are counting down the days before she is brought into this world. She will be loved and cherished for eternity.
Do you have any funny, sad, happy, embarrassing or otherwise memorable moments that you would like to share: Sad, I have mentioned in the above... the heartache we both suffered trying for a baby, Jon was my rock and without him I would of died. But his love was so strong it kept me going.

Out of The Blue
| For three and a half years you were a friend to me, always there, if not in person, on the end of the phone, and that was such a great comfort, knowing that I was never really alone. We both had difficult times during that period, and that's what made our friendship what it is today, and now my heart is so full of love, it's overflowing with so much to say. I'm so glad that we met that time (out of the blue) because that allowed our friendship to blossom and grow, we fell in love, it felt so wonderful, and there's a few other things that you should know. The distance between us was unbearable, we were separated by miles but joined at the heart, you lived in London, I lived in Cornwall, finally, we both decided we couldn't be apart. It was because we loved each other dearly, and wanted to spend the rest of our lives together, I moved to London to be with you, and now ours is a story that'll last forever and ever. We found a house and got married, we were so happy, it was all pretty neat, but we knew what we really needed, what we needed to make our lives complete. So we tried for our beautiful baby, there was lots of fun but plenty of heartache involved, but I guess we needn't have worried, beautiful things often take time to become evolved. You were my rock during this trying period, and without you, I simply would have died, I know now I couldn't have picked a finer partner, I know I couldn't - even if I'd tried. And in November 2003 our dreams came true, and out of the blue, we conceived, and now we're counting the days, because we lived our dream and we believed. Robyn Louisa will be that dream personified, and I know we'll love her for all of eternity, and she wanted you to know she's proud of her father, (that's what she secretly whispered to me) And I know she'll have such loving parents, probably the best parents any girl's ever had, I also know why she's extra lucky, because she's already got the world's greatest Dad. And as you know, baby's can be expensive, so it'll be out of the blue and into the red, but I just wanted to say "Thank You" and maybe that's just enough said. Apart from: I will always love you, I wanted to say "Thanks for being my friend" because I will love you beyond forever, long after our earthbound journeys end. |
