Who do you want the poem written for: Rebecca Errandi (my daughter)
Why do you want the poem written: for her wedding day. she is looking for something blue so i was wondering if we could incorporate it on a hankie with blue in it or on it or a blue ribbon?
What style of poem would you prefer (happy, sad, romantic etc.): probably a combination of funny, happy and emotional

What are the key messages you would like to send: that her mama loves her. i have always said to her.... mama loves ya! and sometimes i say "rebecca ann, who loves you?" and she would say in a drawn out drawl...."my maaaaaama". ( im from alabama so we have some southern roots)
Do you have any funny, sad, happy, embarrassing or otherwise memorable moments that you would like to share: when she was small and (even till about 13 ha!) i used to love her feet and toes. i would kiss them all the time. she was a real piece of work as a little girl, she cut her hair and hit it in the toy box ( like i wouldnt notice). she would come out with hysterical stuff. once on a long car ride i said rebecca please we are ALMOST there can you just be patient a little longer and she said NO NO NO... I'm telling you NO...... K N O W!!! in hight school she loved cheerleading and boys. she went to collage at villanova university and is a nurse (just like her mom). She has a strong will and a huge heart. we have great fun together and laugh constantly. our humor is the same and has virtually no limits. she tells me EVERYTHING... there were plenty of times that i thought must you tell me EVERYTHING???? she has one older sister rachael and 2 step brothers cam and chris.
Do you have any other comments or thoughts : i just want it thoughtful, funny, and meaningful .... and on a handkerchief??? blue????
Borrowed and Blue
| Rebecca Ann, who loves you? ?my maaaaaama? you?d answer so drawn out, and Rebecca, I just wanted to say thank you, you?ve taught me what love is all about. I guess a few of these lines will be borrowed, and I know that you wanted something blue, well, Rebecca, I wanted to say a few words, I wanted to say I?m very proud of you. And of course, you know that ?mama loves ya?, but do you know how wonderful you are? If my love for your were a distance, then it would be further than the furthest star. Do you know I used to love your feet and toes? When you were younger, I?d kiss then all day long, because you were a real piece of work as a little girl,, but you?ve always been the music in my song. I remember when you cut your hair and hid it in the toy box, and then we both had to wait for it to re-grow, and then I recall on that long car ride, I asked for patience and you said ?no, no, NO?. In High School you loved your cheerleading, and yes, I?ll admit, you also loved the boys, but you?ve always had a strong will and a huge heart, and in my life, you?ve been on of the greatest joys. I was so proud when you went to Villanova, and now you?re a nurse, just like your Mom, and Rebecca, I wanted you to know I?m proud of you, I?m very proud of the person that you?ve become. I know we have such great fun together, our humor is the same and knows no limit, and I guess that?s always been your motto, ?This is life, let?s be in it?. And I feel honored that you tell me everything, but sometimes, I think you can tell me just too much, but if I wanted to describe how much I love you, well, there are no words on this Earth, as such. But I did want to explain what you mean to me, or at least I wanted to give it my very best try, and if I think of the finest Summer?s day, ever, then you are the blue that makes up the sky. But more than that, you?re also my morning sunshine, and you?re brighter than any star above, and Rebecca, I just wanted to wish you lifelong happiness, but most of all, I wanted to wish you love. |
