Why do you want the poem written: Steve and I have been together for one year.
What are the key messages you would like to send: Steve and I met on a blind date. At that time I was dealing with a very stressful breakup of a long term marriage and he had just 6 months before dealt with his own breakup. We were both looking for a friend and some peace and calmness in our lives. Both of us were "gun shy" but looking for that some one special to love. God has looked down upon us as we have not missed a weekend together since the very first. The most important message I want to convey is that Steve has been supportive of me from the very first day we met. He is a man that is positive, motivated, has integrity, spontaneous, confident honest and faithful. He is kind and sincere and makes me laugh. His first thoughts are of me and my happiness. I have never in my life been treated with such dignity and respect. This man has spoiled me terribly (and I love it). He tells me he loves me on a daily basis and has gone beyond everything for me on my birthday and Christmas. I Love him dearly and plan to spend the rest of my life with him. We are planning a life together and I know that my future is going to be the best part of my life.
Do you have any funny, sad, happy, embarrassing or otherwise memorable moments that you would like to share: On all occasions Steve goes all out. My birthday last month was so special. I arrived at his house to music playing, champagne & hors d'oerves. He danced with me to a romantic song by Josh Grobin. After a fabulous candle lit dinner (that he prepared himself) he brought out a cake with candles. Than he turned on a small tape recorder where I heard his voice singing happy birthday to me. I laughed so hard I cried. But the big surprise was a pair of diamond earring!!! One point during dinner I couldn't help myself and got teary. He asked if the tears were happy or sad. Of course the answer was "Happy". This man has been so wonderful to me. I want to thank him
Do you have any other comments or thoughts: Steve has been so wonderful to me. This has been the happiest year of my life. I want to thank him and tell him how much I LOVE HIM and how I am so looking forward to the life we have planned.

Happy Tears
| Sometime life doesn't work out, sometimes it doesn't go as you'd have planned and like a ship washed up on a distant shore sometimes you end up in a strange and foreign land. We met on a blind date, at the time I was so full of stress I had no idea what the future held, but I knew I wanted a lifetime of happiness. You?d just dealt with your break up so naturally, we were both a little love shy, and now, I?ll love you beyond forever I?ll explain that (or at least I?ll try.) We were both looking for passion and romance, we were also looking for some calm and peace, we?d both weathered some troubling storms, and we just wanted the tossing and turning to cease. Both of us were looking for commitment, and both looking for that someone special to love, and ever since that first date the weekends have been ours, and I know I?ve been blessed by the heavens above. You?ve been so very supportive of me, and you have been ever since we first met, and I?m so looking forward to our future, because as the saying goes: ?You ain?t seen nothing yet? And I do feel so incredibly lucky, without you I wouldn't be who I am today and I have so many loving thoughts for you I have so much on my mind I'd like to say. You see, you're such a beautiful person and you're simply a joy to be around, I'm so glad that it was me who you chose, and I'm so very glad it was you that I found. You?re so positive and so very cheerful, spontaneous, confident and you have integrity, and importantly, I know that you?re faithful, Steve, you mean the very world to me. You?re kind, sincere and you make me laugh, you think of me first and yourself last, and now I thank God for our respective journeys, and for those storms (and that they're now in the past). Because without those paves of gold we would?ve never met, so I guess these journeys have made us wiser still, just know that I?ll love you today, I?ll love you tomorrow so that simply means I always will. When we are together it feels like home, and I know my heart has found it's resting place, and all I see is kindness, a pure soul, whenever I look into your incredible face. You have spoiled me so terribly, (and I absolutely love it, by the way) you went the extra yard at Christmas, and you gave me a simply magical birthday. Music, champagne and hors d?oerves, and then a dance to a romantic song, and I cried during your fabulous candle lit dinner, you had to ask, ?was something wrong?? But of course everything was simply perfect, and I was only crying happy tears, I?m so looking forward to our future, I?m eagerly anticipating our future years. Because this has been the happiest year of my life, and I?m so looking forward to the life we?ve planned, the future is going to be the best part of my life, and those are words I think you?ll understand. Because that future will be spent with you, I know we'll spend the rest of our lives together, and for Steve, my wonderful, wonderful man, I will only cry happy tears, forever and ever. |
