Why do you want the poem written: Because Chris is away and the only gift I can give him is on paper.
What are the key messages you would like to send: How it took so many wrong choices on both of our ends to finally find the right answer for the both of us. How lucky I am to get another chance after so many disappointments to have developed a foundation of trust, support, awe, honesty before we had the chance to develop sexually together etc.
Do you have any funny, sad, happy, embarrassing or otherwise memorable moments that you would like to share: How I ran out on him when he opened the door naked. I just handed him his starbucks coffee, looked him up and then down :) and turned away and left. How special it will truly be and how RIGHT it will be the first time we are together.
Do you have any other comments or thoughts: chris is truly the man I have sought after for all my life. I loved him before I ever met him. He measures beyond anything I could ask for. I just want him to know that I am willing to sit out and wait until it is our turn to dance. I just want him to know I cannot wait until he gets to come home and how I look forward to buying a house and making it a home for him, his sons and my children.

My Dreams Personified
| The only gift I can give you is this paper, and that's because, sadly, you are away, just know that I love you with all my heart, but that one line leaves so much to say: Because we've both made many wrong choices, but who says that all those wrongs were not right? Because eventually, they led us to each other, they led us, so that we could share our love, our light. I feel so lucky to have gained another chance, it's like I'd lost but then I got another spin of the wheel, and after so many disappointments there's hope, so I thought I should share exactly how I feel; Because we've had the chance to build a solid foundation, a foundation of trust, support, awe and honesty, and that's one that we can build on for the future, before we've had the chance to develop together, sexually. I remember the time when I ran out on you, if you recall you were naked and quite bereft, I just handed you your Starbucks coffee, looked you up and DOWN, turned away and left. But I must admit I liked what I saw, (and the memory of which will last forever), just think how truly special and how right it will be, when we have share that first time together. Because truly, you are my dreams personified, the man that I have sought after for all of my life, I want you to know that I will wait for you, I'll sit out and wait for our dance, as husband and wife. I loved you before I'd even met you, you measure beyond anything I could ever ask for, just know that I can't wait until you come home, and then we'll buy a house and make it a home, for evermore. And together, we shall live out our lives, together, we will be one big happy family, and Chris, I just wanted to thank you for being you, you've made our worlds a great place to be. |
