Who do you want the poem written for: Alison & David
Why do you want the poem written: I have been asked to do a reading at their wedding. I have read a number of texts on the internet but nothing is special enough so I thought I would have one written especially for them.
What are the key messages you would like to send: How happy we are to see them in love and getting married. The unbreakable bond we see between them and the strength of their love. The sparkle we see in their eyes for one another. How much we value their friendship and hold them so close to our hearts. Very special friends. They light up our lives. How beautiful they both are.
Do you have any funny, sad, happy, embarrassing or otherwise memorable moments that you would like to share: We'd like to say that we are at our happiest when we're together with them. If you like a great outcome of the wedding is that they will always be together for us and others to enjoy. A funny point in our lives together was when we went to the opera in Verona, Italy to see Aida. It was supposed to be a serious performance but one little comment at the beginning made us laugh throughout the whole performance. It seemed like a waste of a visit but who cared we were with friends and we'd had fun.

Never Find An End
| We remember the opera in Verona, it was supposed to be serious but we laughed a lot, and that started us thinking, with you in our lives, we realize what we?ve got. And it seemed like a waste of a visit, but upon reflection, it was time so very well spent, because we were with friends, we had fun, and those friends have truly been heaven sent. You see, you are both such special people, you create sparkle with one wave of your magical wand, you share this remarkable, beautiful love, and unquestionably, you have this unbreakable bond. We are at our happiest when we?re with you, so now it?s your solemn duty to stay together, but that?s something that?s never been in question, it?s obvious your love will last forever and ever. It?s truly great that you?re getting married, because you both make the other completely whole, we can see it in the sparkle in your eyes, it seems to emanate from your very soul. We just wanted you to know we value your friendship, and that friendship, we hold very close to our hearts, you light up our lives, you?re both so beautiful, so we wish for you only the very best of starts. And may that start last an eternity, may your bountiful love never find an end, because we just wanted to thank you for being you, and to you both, thanks for being our friend. |
