Why do you want the poem written:for our first wedding anniversary
What are the key messages you would like to send: Cy and I meet through work a couple of years ago. I fancied him like mad but never though anything would ever happen between us. Cy is very commited to his work and enjoys working with computers so much it is his hobby too. I was always fascinated by him and how much he loved what he does. as soon as Cy and I meet we hit it off and I knew he was the one, things moved really quickly despite us saying we would take things slow. We just couldn't stay away from one another. As our relationship developed we started having problems with cy's ex and she became obsessed with causing problems for us, scratching cars etc. but despite all the problems we fell maddly in love. Cy proposed on New years eve 2003/4 and we got married on 6th july 2004 on a beach in barbados. it was perfect, no stress and fuss, just us. we got up relaxed, getting married in the afternoon on the beach outside our room? Now im' babbling, I'm not very good at telling stories or anything. ?I just want to let cy know how happy he has made me and that i love him more than i ever though possible. although sometimes it may not seem like it, but I'm really proud of what he does and wouldn't want hm to change anything. I'm looking forward to the rest of our lives together no matter wat happens or where the road takes us as long as I'm with him it will be great. although we have only known each other a couple of years I feel like i've known him my whole life.
Do you have any funny, sad, happy, embarrassing or otherwise memorable moments that you would like to share: All our moments are memorable; although we have only known each other a couple of years we have already shared so many experiences. I never though I'd be able to go snowboarding but Cy and I went to Australia just before our first Christmas together. we were only away for a week but it was brilliant. Cy taught me to snowboard and on our third day he took me off piest. That turned out to be a bit too soon though coz I ended up getting stuck, knee deep in snow so Cy decided we would use our snowboards as sledges to get back onto the track... that worked fine and we sledged down the mountain but I almost crashed into cy. he described a white ball of snow heading towards him and so dived out the way but his snowboard went down the hill and he had to chase after it. All i could do was laugh! Happy moments, well there are loads of them, most of all when Cy and I got married. I never thought it would meen so much to me but i'm so happy we are going to spend the rest of our lives! together.
Do you have any other comments or thoughts: I just want the poem to express to cy how much he means to me, how happy he makes me and how proud i am of him. sometimes I feel I don't tell him that often enough..
What style of poem would you prefer (happy, sad, romantic etc.): Romantic with a happy edge to it. Nothing too philosophical if you know what i mean...

My Heartfelt Cy
| Hello, my wonderful Cy these words are just for you, because I'm proud of who you are, and I'm very proud of what you do. And I just wanted to say "I love you", but in truth, I didn't know where to start, so I thought I'd share a few feelings, and give you some words, straight from the heart Firstly, I'll begin by looking skywards, and thanking my lucky stars above, because I know I've been blessed to have shared you, I know that I've been blessed with your love. We met through work a couple of years ago, I must admit, I fancied you like mad, but I never thought anything would happen between us, (and that would've left me feeling forlorn and rather sad). You love computers and you love to help others and that was probably the start of my admiration, as I think it was Oscar Wilde who once said, "The trick is to make your vacation your vocation" As soon as we met we hit it off, and instantly, I knew you were the one, and ever since, your love has been my light, my inspiration, in every way, you've been like my morning sun. Things moved really quickly between us, that was despite us saying we should take things slow, we just couldn't stay away from one another, but there were still some obstacles, as we know. But despite all that, we fell madly in love, and on New Year's Eve I happily said "yes", fireworks, sleet, a masked ball, dancing, how could I say "no" to a lifetime of happiness? Then in simply stunning and beautiful Barbados, we borrowed a torch and watched the turtles hatch, and on that beach I said "I do" to that lifetime of happiness, I was happy, at last I'd found my truly perfect match. And that's exactly how I feel today, I'm all bubbly and I'm so ecstatic inside, because I know I couldn't have picked a finer husband, I think of you and my chest swells and fills with pride. I love you more than I thought was possible, but I've never said just how truly wonderful you are, but imagine this; if my love for you were a distance, then it would be further than the furthest star. Maybe we've shared previous lifetimes? As I feel like I've known you my whole life, and I just wanted to say "thank you", I'm very proud to be known as your wife". So, Cy, you are now, truly, my heartfelt Cy, with you, I'm looking forward to spending forever, and no, I don't know what the future brings, but I know it'll be brilliant, as long as we're together. I also wanted to say Happy 1st Anniversary, I guess that's really what these words are for, here's to you, my heartfelt Cy, you're wonderful, and here's to our everlasting love, for evermore. |
