| When I was a little girl, I always dreamed of this day, I knew the words off by heart, I knew exactly what I would say. And I imagined my Dad, walking me down that aisle, I could see the look on his face, I could see the pride in his smile. But life doesn't always run to plan, I guess that's plain to see, and some things just seem to happen, some things are just meant to be. But, you, my wonderful mother, I think that you're simply the best, I really do love you so very much, I think that I've been truly blessed. Monetary things don't matter to me, You already have given me wealth beyond measure, you've always been such a strong shoulder for me, your emotional support I will always treasure. I will always be your little girl, this I promise you, no matter what, and I promise to be as good a wife as you were, and I know that you loved my Dad, a lot. You are the most giving person that I know, they've been sound lessons that you've taught, I know now what to do to be an excellent wife, and that's a precious gem that can't be bought. And there's one more message, one more heartfelt token that I'd like to send; I'd just like to thank you for being my mother, in fact, I think of you as my very best friend. I'm sad that Dad's not here with us, and he would be so proud of me today, I was looking forward to him making up, especially today (being his birthday). But his spirit carries on, and he'll walk with me arm in arm, because he'll always be there to protect his daughter, and keep her safe and far from harm. I know that he loves you too, and I know that he's proud of his wife, and I'd just like to thank you, Mom, you've simply been the blessing in my life. |
