Why do you want the poem written: For the birth of our first child. We are having a boy and I would like to give my husband something special.
What style of poem would you prefer (happy, sad, romantic etc.): Happy and loving
What are the key messages you would like to send: Maybe something from our son and me to his daddy. I love my husband very much. He is a very thoughtful, loving person. He is a farmer so he works very hard and still comes home everynight and takes care of me. Even when he works really long hours, he'll come home and rub my feet. He's everything I ever I wanted in a man plus more. We got married right at a year ago in St. Lucia and I am lucky enough to say I married my best friend. We can sit and talk about anything or we can just sit in silence, either way I feel most comfortable when he's near me. I find that I gravitate toward him when I'm in an uncomfortable situation because he is so loving and protective. We both love watching Men's College basketball (University of KY) and we also watch a lot of Football. When we started dating I didn't even know how many points a touch down was worth and he put me through "football class" so now I actully like it. I can call penalties as quick as he can. We have a lot of fun together but we can also work together. I help him in the field as much as I can and we hope one day I will be out there full time.

Pick Of The Crop
| Hello, my wonderful father, these words are just for you, because we're proud of who you are, and we're very proud of what you do. Mom and I just wanted to say "we love you", but in truth, we didn't know where to start, so we thought we'd share a few feelings, and give you some words, straight from the heart. You see, I know that Mom loves you very much, and she tells me you're the best friend she's ever had, and me, well, I know I'm the luckiest lad on Earth, because I have you as my father, my Dad. And I know we'll spend so much time together, they'll be many a memory on which we can build, and I know that I'm going to be your very best helper, you just try and stop me from spending time in that field. I also know that you're a very thoughtful and loving person, Mom says she's never known anyone even half as kind, even though you work so very hard every single day, you come home and mom's the first thing on your mind. So, you come home and rub her feet, and I'll tell you, we both felt the benefit of that, and for the record, Mom married her best friend in St.Lucia, Mom says you're all man plus more (a matter of fact). Mom likes that you can sit and talk about anything, but you're also happy just sitting with nothing to say, either way, Mom feels most comfortable when you're near her, Mom says her finest 24 hours were all on her wedding day. Mom finds that she gravitates toward you, especially when she's uncomfortable or in a fix, it's because you are so loving and protective, and you've taught Mom how many points for a touchdown (six). I know you both love watching men's college basketball and you also watch a lot of football, I know, and thanks to your "football class", Mom's now an expert, she can spot the penalties before the ref has had a chance to blow. I also know that you have a lot of fun together, and Mom helps you in the field as much as she can, one day I think we will both be out there full time, anyway, at this stage, that sounds like a plan. So, in the meantime, know that you're really loved, your son and wife know your true and honest worth, and of all the husbands and fathers in this world, we both have the pick of the crop on planet Earth. |
