Do you have any funny, sad, happy, embarrassing or otherwise memorable moments that you would like to share: At Disney World, she was annoyed that we had to wait to get pictures taken for Florida resident package so she decided to take my id card instead of hers as the would never check them. I got thru the gate, but they stopped her (because she did not have my beard). The kids and I kept walking, but finally went back to rescue her. At Metro zoo, we heard strange grunting noises that were giant tortoises having sex. She grabbed her camera to get a "must have" picture" and then hit the shutter to snap a picture of her foot with the last shot left on the film. Our son and daughter in law have the picture in an album entitled "tortoises having sex". We still laugh about these incidents.
Do you have any other comments or thoughts: We "blended" two families from our first marriages into one. We have just had a wonderful life together .We have four great children and four terrific grandchildren to whom we are devoted. She is a great mother and a "great" grandmother too.

My One and Only
| Hello, my wonderful Gloria, these words are just for you, because I'm proud of who you are, and I'm very proud of what you do. And I just wanted to say "I love you", but in truth, I didn't know where to start, so I thought I'd share a few feelings, and give you some words, they're straight from the heart: Firstly, I'll begin by looking upwards, and thanking those in the heavens above, because I know I've been blessed to have shared you, I know that I've been blessed with your love. I wanted to thank you for being you, I've never really said just how wonderful you are, but if my love for you were a distance, then it would be further than the furthest star. It's great that we're so compatible, and it's magical, this love we share for each other, we share the same values, the same goals, and I know that you're it (and they'll never be another). And I know that it hasn't always been easy, and sometimes you can get stuck at the gate, but I know I never would have made it without you, you are my one and only, my true soul-mate. Thankfully, you don't have my beard, but at least you were able to get inside, I just know I couldn't have picked a finer imposter, I know I couldn't - even if I'd tried. Again, I'm glad we're not like the tortoises, or that we don't get so noisy and so perplexed, and that picture of your foot will be forever famous, always entitled "tortoises having sex". But seriously, we've blended two families together, and now we are one, just one big happy family, and I just wanted to say "thank you", you've made our worlds a great place to be. And I must admit I feel like I'm jimmy Stewart, because truly, with you, it's a wonderful life, and I'm very proud to know you, the class clown, I'm very honored and proud to call you my wife. You're a great mother and a "great" grandmother. My! Look how our mighty oak has grown, but we're all very grateful to you for your kindness, we'd like to thank you for the love that you've shown. I also value your sense of wit and humor, and truly, you are my very best friend, and I know I'll love you beyond forever, long after our earthbound journeys have their end. And I also wanted to say Happy 15th Anniversary, I guess that's really what these words are for, here's to you, Gloria, you're truly wonderful, and here's to my one and only, for evermore. |
