What are the key messages you would like to send: We would like it to be very humourous as he is a funny guy and that we love him
Do you have any funny, sad, happy, embarrassing or otherwise memorable moments that you would like to share:as stated in papargraph below, some definates to include: is attending all of our soccer games growing up, always driving me and my friends to the movies or bowling or someones house, teaching us to drive and falling asllep in the car while giving the driving lessons!!
Do you have any other comments or thoughts: loves hiking in the desert, he is a workaholic, tough business man, no bullshit type of guy. his famous quote," I am an accountant by trade". He is very successful,made his money in the plumbing industry (kitchens and baths, something about selling toilets might be funny) lives in a beautiful house on a mountain, still married has 2 daughters, loves fine dining and theatre, grew up in Bronx Ny. He is 100% Italian.myself, sister and husband all work with him now in a family business he started. He is a funny man. I'd like a poem with a timeline starting off as a baby (maybe some funny lines about being 1 of 4 children in an italian family, can make fun of his name "Lenny" or what have you. Next part would be meeting my mom, something to include how they met in the Bronx"they both worked ina grocery store, she was cashier and he was the bagger, he continued to ask her out until she finally said yes. When He took my mother on dates he would have to take my mother's 3 sisters and brother with them al lot of the time. His brother Anthony and my mom's sister Carol hated eachother and got into a huge fight at the beach one time. Next segment could be moving to NJ to raise a family, my sister Jennifer and myself Laura were raised there. Some lines to include here would be sentimental and also some funny incidents such as going to all of our soccer games, doing puzzles, taking us to horseback riding lessons and all that kind of stuff, Driving and picking us up from the movies or wherever before we got our license (that is a good one, he was one of the only parents who would ALWAYS pick us up late at night!) teaching us to drive, taking us to Burger King every staurday night before the babysitter and getting a meal for himself too! having a full head of hair. Then having his daughters got o College in Arizona and shortly after that mom and dad moved to Arizona and have been here ever since. He is a great grandfather, loves everyone immensly , he makes them wild though letting them do whatever they want (jumping on things and him. to sum it up he is still a big kid himself witha heart of gold sorry so much info, hope it helps.

| Ladies and gentlemen, can I have your attention please? Because every now and then in life, there's opportunity you should seize. And that moment is upon us, after all, 60 years ago, Dad had his birth-day, and we've got some thoughts on our mind, yes, we do have some funny, heartfelt words to say: You see, Dad is such a funny guy, all in all, he's a pretty good bloke, and I hope he knows that we love him, and that he doesn't mind the odd little poke. Picture a workaholic, hiking across the desertand that sort of sums up our "no bullshit" Dad, he's a tough business man, "an accountant by trade", but at selling toilets, he's not at all half bad. In truth, he's been very successful in the plumbing business, kitchens and baths and as mentioned before, the odd john, but he says it how it is, his pipes are pretty straight, and he's never done any one of us any wrong. One of four children in an Italian family, Lenny (the little kid) soon grew up and roared, he started the business we all work for, (but it's only because of us that it's really soared). Along the way, you met the oh so very beautiful mom, the bagger kept on asking the cashier (until she said "yes"), little did you know back then you'd climb the mountain, and that you'd share a lifetime of happiness. But the path of true love rarely runs easy and some times it's hard getting the words to rhyme, but it must have been a real passion killer on those early dates, as you had mom's 3 sisters and brother with you a lot of the time. Actually, Anthony and Carol hated each other, and one time, at the beach, they got into a fight, but gladly the family feud didn't spoil things, and soon it was Burger King on a Saturday night. But I guess we'd better move to New Jersey first, and that's where Jennifer and Laura decided to land, and we have so many wonderful, happy memories, but I'm sure that this is something that you'll understand. Because we've got so much to be thankful for, you attended most of our soccer games by far, you ALWAYS drove me and my friends to the movies, and our driving lessons would make you fall asleep in the car. Now you live in a beautiful house on that mountain, and you're still married to the woman you love, and we know we've been blessed to have shared you, in truth, we've been blessed by the heavens above. You love your fine dining and going to the theater, you've come a long way from the Bronx, you've done real good, you're still young and you've got a full head of hair, and we're just glad that we share some of that Italian blood. Because your two daughters are very proud of you, and we've never really just how wonderful you are, but if our love for you were a distance, then it would be further than the furthest star. We went to college in Arizona and you quickly followed, and that's where you decided you no longer wished to roam, you're a great grandfather, you love everyone immensely, but you do let your grandkids take over your home. You make them wild by letting them do just what they want, but we know you're just a big kid, there in your heart, and we just wanted to say "we love you", but in truth, we didn't know where to start. So I think we'll finish by saying Happy 60th Birthday, I guess that's really what these words are for, here's to you, Dad, you're truly wonderful, and here's to staying a big kid, for evermore. |
