Why do you want the poem written: We are having a surprise 60th birthday for her and I want something to explain what the family thinks of her and we are sending her on a cruise that she doesn't know about

What are the key messages you would like to send: About how we value her as a mother, friend. It's her 60th Birthday so something along those lines. She Has two children, Micheal and Melissa Daughter in Law Beth,Son in law Jason and four grandchildern, Marion, Faith, Micheal and Mason Married to my dad over 35 years, Bill (they have had some hard times over the past three years)I'd like to mention all the joys of her as a mother, grandmother and wife,and at the end throw in example" We know you didn't want a party or a cake, she wanted to go to las vegas, etc..... something about sending you on a 7 day cruise (because this is when we are going to tell her)

Cruising Through Life
| Hello, our wonderful mother, these words are just for you, because we're proud of who you are, and I'm very proud of what you do. And we just wanted to say "we love you" but in truth, we didn't know where to start, so we thought we'd share a few feelings, and give you some words, they're straight from the heart: Firstly, we'd like to begin by looking skywards, and thanking those in the heavens above, because we know we've been blessed to have shared you, we know that we've been blessed with your love. And some beautiful ships, they go a sailing, and often, they travel to a far off and exotic port, and just while you're pondering that little clue, we'd like to share more than one heartfelt thought: You see, we are who we are because of you, and we'd like to thank you for everything you've ever done, your love has been our light, our inspiration, in every way, you've been like our morning sun. Now, I didn't want to cry as I read this, but there might be a tear before these lines come to their end, because Mom, we really value you as a mother, but more than that, we value you as a trusted friend. So Michale, Melissa, Beth and Jason, we all say "thanks", and my! Look how your mighty oak has grown, because Marion, Faith, Michael and Mason, well, they're all very grateful for the love that you've shown. And you've been married to Dad for 35 years, I guess you know him by now, his name is Bill, and we know that you love each other deeply, and of course, we know that you always will. You've seen some hard times in recent years, but life is rarely, if ever, a rose filled dream but through it all, you've stuck together, you've proved to the world you truly are a team. And you've shared so many joys together, you as a mother, grandmother and wife, and we all just wanted to thank you for being you, it's because of you we've all cruised through life. Truly, you're so special and just one of a kind, and we've never really said just how wonderful you are, but if our love for you were a distance, then it would be further than the furthest star. And we know you just wanted to go to Las Vegas, you didn't really want a party, let alone a cake, but we wanted to say "thank you" in a special way, so here's another clue, let's call it a wake. Because you can never steer a ship by looking astern, you have to keep on looking, always straight ahead, and it is because of you, we've cruised through life, so that leaves just a few lines left to be said: Because we didn't want to send you to Las Vegas, after all, like most people, you just have to much to lose, so instead, we'd like you to sail the high seas, yes, Mom, you're going on a luxury seven day cruise. It's just our way of saying "Happy 60th Birthday", I guess that's really what these words are for, here's to you, Mom, you're truly wonderful, and here's to cruising through life, for evermore. |
