Memorable Moments: There are so many that we have shared that I don't think would be appropriate for this poem. Although, he has beaten guys up for me in the past when they were bothering me. He's my protector.
Other Comments: I've never had a friend like him. He's always been there for me, even when I was wrong. He paid for my plane ticket to his wedding and I missed the flight. I scrambled around the airport trying to get on standby and just couldn't make it in time. This poem has to be something special he can always cherish.

| Hello, my wonderful strong man, I've always been amazed by your inner strength, you're strong on the in and the outside, I guess those words need explaining (and at length). But firstly, some things in life just go and happen, and when they do it's simply a pain, and if you had the chance to do it all over, you would (and next time I'd catch that plane). But time waits for no woman, and the clocks they only go the one way, so I guess it's time I said sorry, and it's also time that I had my say. So, I'll get the apology done first, I'm sorry, but I simply missed the flight, I scrambled and scrambled to get a standby, and believe me, I really put up a fight. But fate and schedules worked against me, and I was left just standing there, with a great feeling of disappointment, and a heavy heart, filled with despair. Because I knew I'd let down my best friend, and on the day he was getting married to his bride, so that was a truly horrible feeling to have, and believe me, it came from deep inside. Because you've always been there for me, (and sometimes just in the nick of time), so I feel so guilty for missing your wedding, and that's one of the main reasons for this rhyme. But this also creates an opportune moment to say, that I've never had a friend like you, and I think of and brag about you all the time, I'm very proud of what you do. You've been my protector in life, you are a true friend, indeed, and when guys have been bothering me, you've rescued me in my hour of need. And we've shared many a magical moment, and those memories will brighten my history past, memories I'll treasure for a lifetime, memories that I know will always last. And I know that we don't talk every day, and distance may now keep us apart, just know that I brag about "The Strongman", and you'll always have a place in my heart. I'm so very happy that you've found the one, I know that you'll be happy for evermore, and I wanted you to know that I love you like a brother, and that's really what these words are for. |
