A Husband's poem to his wife on their 1st Wedding Anniversary, they had a fairy tale wedding

Why do you want the poem written: our one year anniversary which is going to be on August 5th, 2004
What are the key messages you would like to send: Brooke and I have been together for 8 years now, since the 10th grade of high school. We tied the knot in August of 2003. We have never had any relationship threatening spats, just the usual arguments. Brooke and I lasted through the toughest years to hold a relationship; teen years. It was extremely fun growing up with her and becoming two responsible adults. We fit together so well and love each other very munch. We both have graduated college from LSU and moved from Baton Rouge, LA. to Houston, TX. We moved immediately following the wedding. It has been great living on our own in our new house (our first house). You can talk about how it is going to be great living together in our new house and spending the rest of our lives together. Our wedding was as Disney World and it was spectacular. The wedding was the perfect fairy tale wedding. All of our family and closest freinds attended. Brooke is a beautiful women with blonde hair and the biggest blue eyes. She likes to be called princess, from just me of course.
Do you have any funny, sad, happy, embarrassing or otherwise memorable moments that you would like to share: We first started dating on a trip to Orlando, FL. in the 10th grade. I was extremely shy and she was miss popular. It was a entourage (chior) trip and we rode a greyhound bus round trip. We were friends prior to the trip we both liked each other but never said anything. We sat by each other and had the best time. It was an extremly confined space but we did'nt even notice. We had a blanket and pillows and slept like babies. That is where we kissed for the first time. Our to best friends were on the other side of the bus and could not get comfortable for anything; it was funny. We've been on several trips together. We had a romantic night at the Beaux Rivage in Boloxi, MS.,we had a romantic night at the Le Pavillon hotel in New Orleans, and at the Derek hotel in Houston, TX. We have went to Cancun together and had a great time.

My Princess
| Hello, my wonderful Brooke, these words are just for you, because I?m proud of who you are, and I?m very proud of what you do. I?ve been so happy since I met you, in truth, my feet have hardly touched the ground, I can?t believe I can feel this way, I can?t believe there was this much happiness to be found. We've been together for eight years now, in fact, ever since the tenth grade, and deciding to marry you, well, that was the best decision I've ever made. I cannot imagine my life without you, you?re my best friend, my true soul-mate, and I?m just so glad that we were both together, so officially, I?d like to thank those winds of fate. You make me want to be a better person, you simply bring out the best in me, and I just wanted to thank you for being you, you?ve made my world a better place to be. We've never had any life threatening spats, just the normal arguments, the to-ing and fro-ing, and I reckon we've survived the toughest, the teen years, because we've both done our fair share of growing. You are the most caring and loving person, in truth, more than anybody else I know, you love and respect me so very much, and that?s what allows me to flourish and to grow. You always put me first, yourself second, you just want me to be happy in my soul, well, I am my princess, for you make me complete, with you, I do feel so completely whole. We both graduated from LSU, well honestly, you?ve got me doing numbers in my head, because we?ve been married for 366 glorious days, and ?I do? were the finest words I ever said. It was extremely fun growing up with you, we fit together so well and love each other very much, and I wanted to describe my love for you, but no words have been invented, there's no words as such. So I'll try to describe the feeling I have for you, it's that feeling of summer sun on your face, it's the smell of a freshly perfumed flower, it's the memory of your favorite time and place. And we passed the Baton to now Houston, and we're truly living out our fairy tale, a dream wedding, our first house together, and to our glorious future, we're setting sail. And I'm on board with my very own princess, a beautiful woman, blonde hair and the biggest blue eyes, and this sailor is simply besotted by you, although by now, this should come as no surprise. And thankfully, you've never been a babbling Brooke, more like a perfectly shaped and flowing stream, and I'm just so looking forward to our future, and us living together, happily, living out our dream. I also wanted to say Happy First Anniversary, I guess that?s really what these words are for, here?s to you Brooke, you?re truly wonderful, and here?s to our everlasting love, for evermore. And the journey that started towards Orlando, well, there's many more miles for us to get through, just know that "extremely shy" loves "miss popular", and finally my princess, love always, Boo Boo. |
