Grandma Sue
| Are you sitting comfortably? Because I have a story just for you, it is about a remarkable woman, and her name was Grandma Sue. Sadly, she's now moved on, but her spirit is with us for evermore, and we will always remember her, and that's what these lines are for. She worked as a school lunch lady, I think she did that for most of her life, not only was she devoted to her children, she was also a very devoted wife. I remember her as if it was yesterday, a Pepsi and a Pall Mall in her hand, knowing her as I did, I think you'd understand. You see, she was a humble caring woman, who helped me through a troublesome time, helped me climb out of my valleys, in fact, she taught me how to climb. That was a really important time in my life, I just didn't know what to do, but two people helped me through that stage, one was Kate, and the other was Grandma Sue. She was also an excellent southern cook, the most delicious green beans and macaroni cheese, and if we were sitting together today, it would be flaky canned biscuits, if you please. So that ends our little story, I just wanted you to know Grandma Sue, she helped me out in my time of need, and believe me, she's still looking out for you. |
