Why do you want the poem written: Our 4th anniversary but we've been together for 12 years.
What are the key messages you would like to send: I would like to tell Lisa how much she means to me. I've been very enthralled in a new business for the last year and there have been many times that she has had to take care of everything in our personal lives because I haven't had the time to help.
Do you have any funny, sad, happy, embarrassing or otherwise memorable moments that you would like to share: Our wedding was very memorable. We got married in Key West at the Hemmingway House and our wedding, reception and honeymoon in duck Key were moments we shall never forget and we long to relive them. We want to have a reunion for our wedding and invite everyone who was originally there.
Do you have any other comments or thoughts: I want to convey to Lisa how much we both long to be retired and spend every waking moment together relaxing but that I also don't want to have the kids grow up without me really spending anytime with them like what is happening now.

My Exemplary Star
| Our wedding was so very memorable, at Key West you found the key to my heart, and I wanted to tell of my love, now, where on earth shall I start? Maybe I'll begin by looking upwards, and thanking those in the heavens above, because I know I'm lucky to have met you, I know I've been blessed with your love. It's our fourth anniversary, but we've been together for much longer than that, in truth, it's been twelve wonderful years, I'm so glad that's a matter of fact. Because you are so very special, and truthfully, you mean the very world to me, you've turned all my seasons into summertime, you've made my world a better place to be. And I know I've been stuck in the business, so there's many times when you've been left on your own, but I'm just so thankful for all of your kindness, I'm very grateful for all the love that you've shown. You've taken care of everything in our personal lives, and then you've added your own magic, splendid touch, and I just wanted to say "I love you" in truth, I love you so very much. I know we'll go back to Key West one day, and once again, be reunited with our friends, because we have a love that'll last forever, and that's the kind of love that never ends. And I also know that one day, we'll be retired, and we'll just be together, relaxing every day, but there's some water to pass under the bridge before then, and I guess that leaves some things to say. I don't want to be the "Cats In The Cradle" Dad, and I want our kids to grow up with me by their side, because I know that they are important, truly, they are our dreams personified. So, I promise, I'll shuffle my priorities, and I'll do it as soon as I possibly can, because I want to be the perfect father, I want to be your perfect husband, your perfect man. And I know that perfection is difficult, but in you, I see my exemplary star, and I've never really told you of my love, I've never really told you just how wonderful you are. And I also wanted to say Happy Anniversary, I guess that's really what these words are for, here's to you, Lisa you're truly wonderful, and here's to our everlasting love, for evermore. |
