New Beginnings
| I didn't win the lottery, so I don't have too much in the way of winnings, so I thought I'd share my thoughts with you, as I wish you well on your new beginnings. Because you are, it seems, a perfect match, and you do get on so very well, and before you run off on honeymoon, I guess there's a few tales I could tell: Let's start with the first date, you were both very nervous, I believe, Lucy's dog barking wildly, the door wouldn't shut, no wonder you were in a hurry to leave. Then before you knew it, four years had flown so fast, with no sign of the final whistle, it's amazing how long a football disco can last. And what about the proposal? Who says the age of romance is dead? Flowers, wine, soft music, moonlight, no bugger that - I think I'll put the washing on instead! Now I know you wouldn't change much, but Lucy would if the chance she had, quote unquote: I never would've gone with him, if I knew that his wind was so smelly and so bad!" And Lucy reckons her jokes are funnier, but you both seem to see the funny side, and I can't imagine a nicer couple, I couldn't, even if I tried. So Billy will sing "Don't go changing" "I love you just the way that you are" and I think that'll be your secret, I think with that attitude you'll travel far. Because me and Dan know just what it's like, when your home gets broken in two, but that won't happen here, because you love him and he really loves you. I'm very pleased for you both, although at times we haven't seen eye to eye, I'm going to put that all behind us, and I promise - I'll give it a very good try ! So I want to wish you eternal happiness, that's really what these words are for, I wish you love, health, hope (and fair winds :), especially love and happiness for evermore. I'm genuinely excited about your new beginnings, and I can see a very promising start, because you two are obviously soul mates, you're simply joined together at the heart. |
