am in desperate need of a poem that conveys my true feelings about my father to him... We are working through a very tough situation right now, and with Christmas around the corner, I thought a framed poem would be a good gift, but I can't seem to find one that conveys my true inner feelings. My name is Jennifer and my dad's is Glenn. I am him first born, and I'm now 16, getting ready to turn seventeen. He's always been a really protective father, but a loving one. Even when times got tough, he stayed right there by my side. He never stopped loving me, even when I lost friends who did. He always provided me with my every need and almost all my wants. I love him with all my heart, even though it's taken me some time to realized we'll never stop loving each other, no matter what the other does. Not too long ago, I was in a relationship with a guy, whose name is of no importance now, but only a short time passed, and we did some things we probably shouldn't have, not drugs or
anything, but... When my dad confronted me about these things, I had to tell him the truth, because I couldn't lie any longer. Words passed between us that I will never forget for the rest of my life. I thought this guy was just as important or more important to me than my own father, my own flesh and blood. I thought this guy would always be there, even when my parents seemed to be turning me out, and not loving me anymore. I found later, when this guy eventually left, that my dad was still there, waiting, waiting for me to come
back and repair our relationship. I've learned some of the most important lessons in my life during this time, and I don't know how to express them in the right words. Could you please write me a poem, about how much my dad means to me, possibly in time for Christmas? I know there's not that much time left, and you're probably very busy... but could you let me know if you'll be able to write the poem before Christmas or not. If you can't, I understand, and I'd still like you to write it, but I just need to know so I
can get him something else for Christmas.... I'll still give him the poem
later, but can you please get back to me as soon as possible? Thanks so much for listening and for your time.
Always, Jennifer
| I am in desperate need of a line, that conveys what I feel about my Dad, I just want him to know that, he is the best father that anyone ever had. Things are pretty tough right now, we've both said some nasty stuff, and just plain words won't do it, they just won't be enough. He has always been a protective father, in fact, a very caring one. He has never, ever stopped loving me, no matter what I've done. Not too long ago, I had a relationship with a guy, took a walk on the wild side, had to give it one good try. We did what comes naturally, not the first, we won't be the last, but Dad found it hard to take, maybe even forgot his past. And I got confused, thought I had to choose, a choice I was never going to win, I was always destined to lose. Now the guy is gone, and my Dad is waiting there, waiting for the right words, so his heart can repair. And the biggest lessons in life, always have the hardest fall, leave you feeling humble, leave you feeling small. But as always.... Dad has been there for me, picked me up, brushed me down, he's kissed my scrapen knee. So these lines are for you Dad, your love I don't need to test, I just want you to know that, Dad, I love you and you're the best ! |
