A poem for a couple who me in high school but were later separated by miles but the distance didn't keep them apart - they were joined at the heart.

No Regrets
| I would like to tell you a little tale, a true and wonderful story, about a love so pure and good, and about God in all His glory. Brandon and Gina met in high school, it was God that brought them together, and their lives became as one, as their destinies became entwined forever. He was a junior, she was a senior, Eric arranged their very first date, and their first steps were taken, along their twisting, turning path of fate. Brandon was still in high school, when Gina went away on a trip, in fact, she went off to college, on a cheerleading scholarship. Gina studied teaching in Springfield, but mere distance couldn't keep them apart, they traveled back and forth, they were joined together at the heart. Gina did a Youth Ministry internship, while Brandon went into Master's Commission, no dating, total devotion to God, left them both in a difficult position. That was a really tough year, and could have been where this story ends, they were separated by many miles, and forced into being just good friends. Total devotion to their chosen vocations, meant fulfillment but an awful lot of tears, looking back now through the rose tints, it was still one of their hardest years. But God's will won't be outdone, and they were back together at NCU, Brandon proposed, Gina accepted, and very soon they'll be saying "I do". "My Destiny" was their song, (because they'd already traveled far), their friends held torches on the bridge, while Elizabeth & Ross sang and Ross played guitar. And that night in Minneapolis, I guess was as good as life gets, because you're simply made for each other, and you'll always have "No Regrets". |
