Why do you want the poem written: 50th birthday, very special close friend, our children grew up together he has 3 boys Lonnie 23 lives and works in nyc Howie 20 goes to UD with my son Jeff and Josh 15
What are the key messages you would like to send: Would like to express that we shared great times together ( happy and sad)17 or so years- we watched our kids grow up and went through their stages together-( drivers licenses, college aps, birthdays, bar mitvahs, jewish holidays) Concord Trips, they went to camp together.
Do you have any funny, sad, happy, embarrassing or otherwise memorable moments that you would like to share: he has to wear swim goggles when he barbeques because there is so much smoke- his specialty is burned chicken on outside, raw inside we call it black and pink chicken On a family vaction we took together to puerto rico he bought shoes 2 sizes too small just because they were a bargain Hes very handy around the house provided the job calls for dental tools always running late
Do you have any other comments or thoughts: Howie is an atorney- Eddie calls for legal advice The party is two months past his birthday because robin couldn't make a decision- which he has to deal with all the time They can"t miss a meal- Very health conscious had endoscopy, colonoscopies this year. Found out he has gerds

Got a dog 3 years ago- Samoyed- strange because for years Robin didn?t even like Eddie or anyone else sitting on the furniture
Time For A Pull
| Ladies and Gentlemen, can I have your attention please? Because every now and then in life, there?s opportunity you should seize. And that moment is upon us, because we?ve some important words to be say, as 50 years ago Doc Fox was born, 50 years and 62 days, Eddie had his birth-day. Actually, the reason we?re a couple of months late, (and this is something Eddie deals with all of the time) is because Robin couldn?t make a decision, (but she still gets his words to rhyme.) Actually, Eddie is our very special close friend, and we?ve watched our children grow together, a friendship that was formed so long ago, and one that is destined to last forever. We?ve shared so many memorable times, most wonderful, most good, most happy, but some sad, but most have brought so much joy and laughter in truth, they?re the best times we?ve ever had. Now as you know Eddie is a dentist, so he?s seen things pulled once or twice, so I?m sure he won?t mind a bit of leg pulling, there's never been a bald, toothful dentist even half as nice. I?d like to say Eddie is a great cook, because I know he can take a good joke, so I won?t mention his black and pink chicken, and that he barbeques with goggles on (because of the smoke) We also remember the vacation to Puerto Rico, and he spotted a bargain, no surprise, he bought two pairs of shoes because they were cheap, he didn?t really worry about the size. They say he?s very handy about the house, as long as it?s dental tools that the job requires, and he?s been known to occasionally run late, some would say he?s always putting out fires. Eddie calls Howie for his legal advice, (there?s no charge, he gets it for a steal) and even though they?re very health conscious, it?s been said they?ll never miss out on a meal. And a Porsche convertible is no mid-life crisis, It?s just what happens when you get the gerds and now Samayed gets the run of the house, and I wonder who gets to pick up the turds? And sadly, the Concorde is no longer flying, but we still got to sit in an aisle seat, and like so many of our shared experiences, that was memorable, and just so hard to beat. We?ve watched our kids go through their stages, and now they?re walking out onto the stage of life, and we?d like to finish by raising a toast, so here?s to Robin, your long suffering wife. But seriously, happy birthday Eddie, that?s really what these words are for, you are truly a wonderful person, our special friend, and here?s to that friendship lasting for evermore. |
