What is your name : C L
Who do you want the poem written for: K and I
Why do you want the poem written: I've been asked to read at their wedding and I think a lighthearted, yet loving poem especially for them would be the perfect gift. They've both got flats to sell and have 2 of everything so don?t want big gifts.
What are the key messages you would like to send: How much K must love I, she?s been married before and said often - NEVER AGAIN! So he must be very special. She has dropped the odd comment about the size of his tackle though, but I know she?s not that shallow really. She also says its nice to be with someone who lets her be herself.
How much I loves K, even though she can be a bit controlling of his life, without realising it or meaning it, she hates his furniture and doesn't particularly want it in the new house. Ian I think is a bit freaked out with the speed of the wedding - engaged to wed in 6 months, when his last engagement was 10 years and only ended when his fiance died (not a point to bring up think!). They are great together and just need to learn how to communicate better with each other. How honored I am at being asked to do this.
How much I wish them all the happiness in the world. I hope all their kids are healthy, happy and don't come in sets of twins / triplets!!!
Do you have any funny, sad, happy, embarrassing or otherwise memorable moments that you would like to share: The first time I met me and my partner M, K and I got roaring drunk, made complete idiots of ourselves and K broke the dining room table. If that didn't put him off nothing will!
Do you have any other comments or thoughts: I am happy they found each other and I'm very happy K's happy at last. I want the message, not to take each other for granted and to remember why they love each other when the chips are down, to come through, but not in a moralistic way, just a gentle dig in the ribs kind of way.
What style of poem would you prefer (happy, sad, romantic etc.): Funny but romantic
Please choose which package you would prefer: Economy
| Ladies and gentlemen, can I have your attention please? Because every now and then in life, there's opportunity you should seize. And that moment is upon us, after all, it's not every day your friends get wed, and I've got some thoughts on my mind, yes, there's a few heartfelt words that need to be said: Firstly, as they've now got two of everything, and they've both got flats to sell, I thought my gift would be a gift of words, because I do have quite a tale to tell: Now, I know that K must really love I, because many times, she's said "never a-gain", but she has mentioned something about tackle size, (but I've never really understood rugby, too much pain). Seriously, he must be very, very special, and K appreciates Ian for letting "K" be, and even though she does control Ian a little, (I reckon they'll be a furniture sale quite rapidly). Actually, I think Ian is a little freaked by the speed of all this, engaged to married in less than 200 days, but truly, they are simply great together, and they are alike in so many ways. And if I can be so bold as to give some advice, (you shouldn't really need this, soul mate and soul mate), but you need to talk to each other nicer, in other words, you need to learn how to communi-cate. So now, that's enough of the parental guidance, because honestly, I'm honored to be standing here, and I just wanted to wish you all the happiness in the world, I hope your kids are happy, healthy and know no fear. I also hope that they don't come along like red buses, for some reason, twins, triplets, quadruplets, spring to mind, but I know what is going to happen will happen, and they'll never know any parents even half as kind. Now, I sort of remember when M and I first met I, K and I made complete idiots of ourselves (not hard to do), we were completely drunk, K broke the dining room table, so I, I apologize, after all, we did have a few. But if that didn't put you off, nothing will, so please take good care of K, she's a treasure, and both of you, never take each other for granted, because what you have, is wealth beyond measure. So nurture and grow that love, and feed it and talk to it every day, and remember that when the chips are down, if you look for it, there's always another way. Just know that we all wish you lifelong happiness, we're all looking forward to the next chapter in this tale, and so, there you have it, my friends, my gift of words, and I hope they don't end up in that furniture sale. |
