| Ladies and gentlemen, can I have your attention please? Every now and then in life, there's opportunity you should seize. Because days, weeks, months happen, and the years, they can go so fast, and words that should get said, don't, and if they do they never last. So I'm going to change all that, change it right here and right now, I hope the right words come along, I'll give it my best shot anyhow. You see, it's my husband's 30th birthday, it's OK, that's not really that old, but maybe, just for posterity, there's a few stories that should be told: Now, as most of you would know, we've been married for almost two years, happy to report mostly fun and laughter, can't remember too many tears. Not bad considering we live in each other's pocket, because as you know we work together, but I reckon we're made for each other, and that we'll be married forever and ever. We both share the same passions, and we certainly have a passion for life, and I'm so lucky to be married to him, indeed, I'm so proud to be his wife. Because we spend so much time together, I often know exactly what he's wishing, it's not too hard really, it's either sex, boating or fishing ! Now we'd like to thank you for being here tonight, a lot have traveled from different States, Idaho, Colorado, New York and Georgia, you're all fine relatives, good friends and great mates. Now I promised you some stories, and I was going to tell you all about our honeymoon, but that seems such a long time ago now, and it was over and all too soon. And I'd like to say he's a workaholic, but sorry folks, it just isn't so, coffee after coffee after coffee, no wonder he keeps having to go. Actually, if the truth be known, we really are one of the best ever teams, and I really do love him very much, actually, he's the husband of my dreams. And when all is said, (and there's certainly more said than done), he's really not so bad after all, in fact, he's definitely my number one. So I won't be trading him in just yet, even though his hair is starting to grey, just know that I love you very much, and I truly hope you have a wonderful birthday ! |
