Cradle To The Altar

Mom, Dad, I just wanted to say thank you
and it's a thank you from way deep inside,
thank you both for being just who you are,
and thank you for such a beautiful bride.

But I need to say much more than just that,
because your daughter means so much to me,
and I've never, ever felt this content,
I have never, ever felt this happy.

You've cared for her "cradle to the altar",
you've wiped her nose and dried her salty tears,
yes, I thank you for looking after her,
and I thank you for all those loving years.

You have done a truly marvelous job,
my wife has a wonderful heart and soul,
and when we are together, it's perfect,
she's the one that makes me completely whole.

I promise, I will take good care of her,
yes, just like you have done, so well before,
I promise, I will love and look after her,
I promise, I'll love her for evermore.

So, now you can take some time and relax,
truly, you have earned a very good rest,
I know I'm lucky, for as in-laws go,
yes, I know that I have the very best.
