not that she needed them but she also had two face lifts,
she loved to dance, play cards and to travel,
and she shared with us all her many gifts.
(NAME), (NAME) and (NAME) were such joyous people,
and God picked them, it wasn?t just by chance,
because He needed someone to liven up the party,
and yes, He too had heard about the (NAME), (NAME)?s dance.

Now, we don?t often manage to exchange gifts,
and correspondence is generally the occasional e-mail,
but we wanted to do something special, because you?re special,
and mere mortal words, would undoubtedly fail.

Mind you, Dad worked at his Kraft for 45 years,
and at his retirement party, he received many an accolade,
all his colleagues just wanted to thank him,
but we too wanted to thank him for the role that he's played.
He's also a lot of a party animal too,
so I reckon tonight could last until daybreak,
but then again, where are the Irish policewomen?
Hello, hello, hello, enough of that, for goodness sake.
From Switzerland to far flung Australia,
we certainly cover the corners of this Earth,
but (NAME) is so fun loving, the life and soul of many a party,
and she's certainly proved her true and honest worth.
You have given (NAME) and I so much in such a short time,
and they are gifts that we will always surely treasure,
but more importantly, you've given us your blessing,
and your love means that we have wealth beyond measure.
Over the years you've accepted all the ties, hankies and wallets
and all the hand-made items, our gifts of love,
you've accepted them all with such excitement,
it's like they've been sent from the heavens above.
At that party, I knew I?d met someone special,
but at the time, I was not looking for a boyfriend,
and although we shared many wonderful evenings,
that could have been where this story ends.
But I really started to enjoy working at Party Pics,
and then at The Wormy Dog, you made my night,
but I was so disappointed when I didn?t hear from you,
you claimed ?liquid courage?, you should have stuck to light!
And we know you just wanted to go to Las Vegas,
you didn't really want a party, let alone a cake,
but we wanted to say "thank you" in a special way,
so here's another clue, let's call it a wake.
So, we know you'll be there for the October party,
so please don't feel bad about not sharing our special day,
because believe me, you'll be there in sprit,
and that one line leaves so much to say:
I remember the time when Andrea got caught smoking,
I also remember the time when she changed her lock,
she got fed up with me always borrowing her shoes,
and yes, I'll admit to borrowing the odd party frock.
Actually, he said he'd rather have a boat than this party,
but I know that's not true, as he's such a sensitive soul,
and I just wanted to say: "(NAME), I love you",
you are the one that makes me completely whole.
I'll never forget the 23 years of Christmas gifts,
and shopping at JC Penney will never again, be the same,
I think I'll wear her favorite green and pink shirt,
I might even wear it to a basketball game.
She never quite got out of bulk buying,
we?d open the cupboard and the shampoo could last for years,
and (NAME) also had a love of gadgets, new gizmos,
although the Flobe ended up with some tragic tears.
Now tom used to love to hunt and fish,
and he taught (NAME) those mighty fine arts,
he also loved to cook and try new things,
and (NAME)?s inherited his love of messy tarts.
Tom was also a natural born salesman,
and he was always looking for a deal to be made,
and as different as the three of them were,
we?d like to thank them for the roles they?ve played.
Because the things that are the same about them ring loud,
they raised their kids to be individuals, each their own,
they loved being with family and friends, loved having fun,
and that?s an important lesson that they?ve shown.
So please wipe away any of those tears,
and replace them with a big smile upon your face,
because I know they all liked to party,
and I?ve heard, that now, heaven?s quite a happening place.
Actually, your generosity simply knows no bounds,
and there's been too many gifts to individually list,
just know that each and everyone is simply precious,
and the memories we've shared I would've never missed.
