I also can't believe the depth of feeling I have for you,
truly, it would reach to the bottom of the deepest sea,
and I'll never forget the our first date with your hand on my back,
what ran through me I can only describe as electricity.
Because in no time at all we were off to Vegas,
thanks to the enormous generosity of our friends,
$36.00 worth of pennies and a double wedding later,
but that's not quite where this story ends.
(NAME) is the first date to actually become a part of the family,
and thankfully, we don't just see him on the holidays,
it is quite apparent that he loves (NAME) very much,
and of course, I hope that's the way it always stays.
In truth, I'm the luckiest woman alive,
yes, I'm the luckiest on this planet Earth,
because I know your true and honest value,
yes, I know exactly what your love is worth.
You wrote and read a poem at your father?s service,
and you spoke about him missing your wedding day,
and although that one line expresses so much,
it still means there's so much left to say:
Our first date was at (NAME),
you didn't like my sweater but loved my car,
as usual, we had egg drop soup and hot and sour soup,
I never thought two bowls of soup would get this far.
Mom likes that you can sit and talk about anything,
but you're also happy just sitting with nothing to say,
either way, Mom feels most comfortable when you're near her,
Mom says her finest 24 hours were all on her wedding day.
You own a spa, massages, facials, make up,
personal training, you know, that sort of thing,
but there's something missing in your life,
even though you're wearing that wedding ring.
I have many wonderful pictures of you as a young woman,
and from them, I know that you were a very beautiful bride
but I just know I couldn't have chosen a finer grandmother,
I know I couldn't - even if I'd tried.
And I'll never forget our beautiful, so perfect wedding,
I don't remember ever feeling as happy as I did on that day,
I will never forget the way you looked at me as you spoke,
your eyes said everything that you needed to say.
In truth, I'm the luckiest woman alive,
yes, I'm the luckiest on this planet Earth,

Actually, I used to get jealous when you'd date other girls,
because my feelings for you were growing, here inside,
and I asked God to send me someone just like you,
and He couldn't have done better - even if He'd tried!
We've been apart since our wedding,
a cold wintry morning on (DATE)
but it's only our jobs and circumstance that could separate us,
because only with you, my world's a better place to be.
Now you live in a beautiful house on that mountain,
and you're still married to the woman you love,
and we know we've been blessed to have shared you,
in truth, we've been blessed by the heavens above.
You're great with the kids and you care for us all,
and I know as children go, I am like the third,
but when you said "I do" on our wedding day,
well, they were the sweetest words I've ever heard.
I always used to think of you as another brother,
I know I was a little sister to you as well,
and we used to share our guy and girl problems,
and I guess we had enough of those to tell.
I am extremely lucky to have you,
truly, undoubtedly, you are the love of my life,
I do not deserve a woman like you,
I'm very honored to be able to call you my wife.

my truest ever words, spoken on our wedding day,
and "Idioma" or "Pansy", I love you,
but I do have a couple of other things to say:
You love those old black and white movies,
and from Cleveland, you've travelled afar,
and I think our wedding song was simply perfect,
because you are loved: "Just the way you are"
We met on a blind date, but I was not blind,
I liked you immediately, as you talk and dance with your hands,
you are also extremely smart and intelligent,
and you always give me an ear that understands.
When I was a little girl,
I always dreamed of this day,
I knew the words off by heart,
I knew exactly what I would say.
