I know they wheel out their tame doctors,
"drink two glasses of red wine every day".
Ever wondered who sponsors their research,
ever wondered how they get their pay ?
Because we've shared so many great times,
precious memories, that I'll always treasure and keep,
like the time at The Ritz Cartton we ate in the room,
very romantic, (too much wine and we fell asleep).
Do you remember ?
The happiness, the food, the wine ?
And will you remember ?
The Xmas of (YEAR) ?
And I know how I can end this misery,
simple, a bottle and too many pills,
and these words will have blood on their hands,
one more of the unjust, unpunished and merciless kills.
So, we ate, indeed with gusto,
and yes, we drank a little wine,
and the duo, that was supposed to be a trio,
well, they played in tune just fine.
I know they wheel out their tame doctors,

And I miss our little chats by the BBQ,
and I miss bringing you a glass of red wine,
but I know we?ve built this deep bond of trust,
and that will last beyond the very last line.
Now the prince met his princess through a mutual friend,
for the sake of the tale, let's give her Margaret's name,
and although the prince had a great meal cooked for him,
a nervous someone had drank all the wine, just the same.
We had to ban him from wearing aftershave,
because he'd always put a whole bottle on in one go,
and he told us he was always getting married.
Who to? (NAME) was the only one to ever know.
Now the prince met his princess through a mutual friend,
for the sake of the tale, let's give her Margaret's name,
and although the prince had a great meal cooked for him,
a nervous someone had drank all the wine, just the same.
Let's think back to the year,
the year of 'forty-nine,
in May a little celebration,
a little food, a little wine.
I know we do not like to going to clubs or parties,
we would rather sit on the porch with wine and friends,
but after our first year, I know I'll love you forever and ever,
long after this earthbound journey ends.
And now the food tastes great,
And the wine is truly fine,
So don't you be so stupid,
Please heed this warning rhyme.
We've always loved our animals,
some were hand reared and bottle fed,
they say that you can lead a horse to water,
but Boy ! Princess wasn't that easily led !
And I'll never forget that first night together,
we talked all night on the porch, drinking wine,
and I knew then that I'd love you forever,
but I thought I'd save that until the very last line.
