And then there's (NAME),
Who is bronzed with specks of gold,
He is just a bundle of energy,
And just a little bit bold.
Firstly, let me describe it to you,
on one side, there are all types of treasure,
glistening gold, electricity, medicine, gismos,
in fact, there's wealth beyond earthly measure.
Because, (NAME), you are indeed a visionary
and maybe this is something you've never been told,
not only are you a very special person,
you're the sweetest girl with a heart of gold.
We, the (NUMBER) children (and the (NUMBER) grandchildren)
know just how much your love is really worth,
we have "gold beyond measure', we have your love,
and that is the greatest treasure on this earth.
I know that we're going to miss his wonderful stories,
and I'll admit they were funny, often exaggerated and over told,
but with all the money he saved and all the love that he gave,
well, I reckon he can buy a few of those paves of gold.
So now it?s a new place with new jobs,
and gold rings, that symbolize us as ?husband and wife?,
and (NAME), I just wanted to say ?I love you?,
I feel very privileged to be sharing your life.
And of all the happy moments that we've shared,
we wouldn't swap one, not for all the gold on this earth,
because we know the true value of Mom's love,
and just how much that love is truly worth.
And I love the real you,
you have such a heart of gold,
and I'm looking forward to our stories,
that haven't yet been written or told.
Because without those paves of gold we would?ve never met,
so I guess these journeys have made us wiser still,
just know that I?ll love you today, I?ll love you tomorrow
so that simply means I always will.
Because you've finished first or second, four or five times,
but in our lives, you've simply won gold,
and we just wanted to say "we love you",
and that's why your story must be told:
You are both so very much loved,
and both have a heart of gold,
and your story of love and endurance,
is a story that needs to be told.
I still remember the Valentine's box in 3rd grade,
I was the envy of all my chums,
it was gold and red with hearts and cherubs,
I was so very lucky that I had the best of Moms.
Because you'll always be a winner in our eyes,
and your s is already a story that must be told,
all we ask is that you give life your very best shot,
and if there's even the slightest chance, go for gold!
Your life is a strong testament,
you're both people and you've done good things,
you are saints, truly remarkable people,
you're the gold in each other's wedding rings.
We just wanted to say "thank you",
we'd like to thank you for simply everything,
because you are simply wonderful parents,
and you put the gold in each other's wedding ring.
And our story that started back in (PLACE),
well, since then we've all spread our wings,
but I'm so glad you've found your happiness,
you've found the gold in your wedding rings.
You've given me three beautiful children,
to them and me, you've been the lifeline,
and I never really appreciated my treasures,
I never counted the gold that was already mine.
And then there's (NAME),

I love Ali very much, he's simply made of gold,
and I just wanted to thank him,
that's the real story that I want told.
Life is a precious thing,
much more than gold or land,
treasure every moment,
cherish every grain of sand.
But I?m so glad you?ve found your happiness,
because in this life, you?ve given enough blood,
and now you?re ?flashier than a gold toothed rat?,
and you really do look as ?happy as a pig in mud?.
But I do know the metal that they were formed in,
and just like your heart, they're made of gold,
and I'm looking forward to our futures,
to our stories, as yet unwritten and untold.
And with your support, (NAME) too won gold for Canada,
and we've all sampled his many culinary delights,
but just for a moment, let's talk about Mom,
as you two make one of the world's most wonderful sights.

Maybe you were miserly,

thankfully, after washing and cleaning up, Dad came back,
and managed to get through it all (with just the odd groan).
