I'm playing in my band,
and covers is covers,
playing songs for you,
the lonely and your lovers.
When we were together,
I wore your wedding ring,
we made a beautiful child,
we made the angels sing.
But that's not how it is with you, my darling,
because you are my all, my everything,
I thank God every day for sending you to me,
and one day, I will be honored to wear your ring.
And may the Lord's love become a part of this ring,
so that I'm reminded of you both, every time I look at my hand,
because if I said I was lost, but now I'm found,
I think those are words you will surely understand.
Diamond earrings, a beautiful ring,
I felt blessed by the heavens above,
we were surrounded by a crowd of waitresses,
I'll never forget the elderly couple (still so in love).
And I can sympathize with those writers,
because it can be hard getting your words to rhyme,
but thanks to (BAND NAME0 and (BAND NAME),
my music tastes are already in their prime.
And no, we never went "Crash",
because 2 months later, I wore your ring,
you promised that no matter what you'd be there,
I promised my (NAME), my love, my everything.
So this trip is second time around,
and that has got an historic ring,
but you've got to leave that baggage,
and get a new suitcase to bring.
We were in the band together at school,
even then we played in tune,
and I'm looking forward to our future,
I think we'll just stay on honeymoon !
When I found your ring,
hidden there under the tree,
my happiness was a yes away,
a happiness that was meant to be.
The ?beware of pickpockets? sign frightened me,
because in my pocket there was your expensive ring.
and it took me a time to find the perfect spot,
but then I started to explain what life could bring.
Because over that year our love has evolved,
and it's grown to become this beautiful, living thing
and I just wanted to say that I'm proud of you,
I'm very proud that you're wearing my wedding ring.
Because with this ring I solemnly promise to you,
I promise to love you more, on each and every day,
and I promise, I've never, ever felt more certain,
and apart from "I love you", I have nothing left to say.
You and I have shared so many meaningful moments
at the (PLACE), the brass band played our song,
and in (PLACE) we listened to the violin late at night,
we both cried when our beloved Amir was gone.
I'll never forget our beautiful wedding, but you were so nervous,
I couldn't get your ring on because of your shaking and sweaty hands,
but all of the girls made a tribute to you to say how great you are,
and those are words that everybody really understands.
I, (NAME), (NAME), (NAME), (NAME), (NAME),and (NAME)(NAME),
well, we all know that they've been heaven sent,
we also know you love your spaghetti, big band music,
and "Can't get started" doesn't apply in a charity event.
You own a spa, massages, facials, make up,
personal training, you know, that sort of thing,
but there's something missing in your life,
even though you're wearing that wedding ring.
But that's not how it is with you, my darling,
because you are my all, my everything,
I thank God every day for sending you to me,
and one day, I will be honored to wear your ring.
You're in The National Honor Society,
and you play the flue in you marching band,
you're very creative and have great artistic talent,
so I think these are words that you'll understand.
And I love you more today,
I'm proud of your wedding ring,
I would not change a day,
I would not change a thing.
We just wanted to say "thank you",
we'd like to thank you for simply everything,
because you are simply wonderful parents,
and you put the gold in each other's wedding ring.
She loves her school band,
The Beatles and the odd horse,
she also writes poetry,
about a whale, and me of course !
I know I put pressure on you,
but I'm just trying to do the right thing,
I want it that maybe someday,
you'll wear more than my friendship ring.
Maybe you were miserly,
but you've bought me just everything,
started with the funny sunglasses,
includes a gold Cartier ring.
She never quite got out of bulk buying,
we?d open the cupboard and the shampoo could last for years,
and (NAME) also had a love of gadgets, new gizmos,
although the Flobe ended up with some tragic tears.
Now tom used to love to hunt and fish,
and he taught (NAME) those mighty fine arts,
he also loved to cook and try new things,
and (NAME)?s inherited his love of messy tarts.
Tom was also a natural born salesman,
and he was always looking for a deal to be made,
and as different as the three of them were,
we?d like to thank them for the roles they?ve played.
Because the things that are the same about them ring loud,
they raised their kids to be individuals, each their own,
they loved being with family and friends, loved having fun,
and that?s an important lesson that they?ve shown.
So please wipe away any of those tears,
and replace them with a big smile upon your face,
because I know they all liked to party,
and I?ve heard, that now, heaven?s quite a happening place.
I've formed the band once again,
aging and up and coming wannabees,
some playing to forget, some just playing,
and some just playing as you please.
So, Happy First Anniversary,
one down, with many more to follow
and I?m so glad that your ring is on my finger,
because it would have been just too hard to swallow.

You've been there when we've participated,
and you've been there when we've starred.
