Seattle was so very special this year,
I really enjoyed being with your family at Christmas time,
I felt the warmth, the love the bond,
and I also felt the reason in this rhyme.
He?ll be with you when you light his candle,
you?ll feel his warmth in the flickering light,
and throughout your life, he?ll be with you all the way,
he?ll be with you, every dawn, noon and night.
You're always been a great support when I need you,
you've helped me face my dragons (and we've won),
your love has been my inspiration, my light,
in every way, you've been like my morning sun.
I really do appreciate how you provide for us all,
and I'd like to thank you for everything you've ever done,
your love has been my inspiration, my light,

And they say that patience is a virtue,
well, because of you I have become the virtuous one,
and your love has been my light, my inspiration,
in every way, your love has been like my morning sun.
We'll share that star tonight my darling,
when it's dark, just go outside and see my light,
because there, shining from the very brightest star,
there you will see my love, burning so very bright.
As soon as we met we hit it off,
and instantly, I knew you were the one,
and ever since, your love has been my light, my inspiration,
in every way, you've been like my morning sun.
And her short bread biscuits were simply to die for,
not to mention her sweet potato and macaroni & cheese,
and I'll never forget the Christmas Mock Crayfish,
the best ever. (Would you like some more? Yes, please!)
It wasn't until Christmas of that year,
that was when I started to see a little common sense,
you came around for a chat and a coffee,
although I'll admit, things were still rather tense.
Her Christmas spaghetti was legendary,
her front bedroom was where I spent my "time out",
she was often strict with me, just to be kind,
she certainly taught me what love is all about.
Every time you?d pick me up from school in that Renault,
well, it made me appreciate everything you?ve done,
because your love has been my light, my inspiration,
in every way, you?ve been like my morning sun.
I'm sure that (NAME), (NAME) and (NAME) watch them too,
because their spirit lives on, inside of us all, burning bright,
and we just wanted to thank you both for being 'you',
your love has been our inspiration, our light.
You see, we are who we are because of you,
and we'd like to thank you for everything you've ever done,
your love has been our light, our inspiration,
in every way, you've been like our morning sun.
I'll never forget the 23 years of Christmas gifts,
and shopping at JC Penney will never again, be the same,
I think I'll wear her favorite green and pink shirt,
I might even wear it to a basketball game.
I really do appreciate how you provide for us all,
and I'd like to thank you for everything you've ever done,
your love has been my inspiration, my light,
in every way, you've been like my morning sun.
Because from my deepest blues, we're now diving to deeper blues,
but now we're talking about under the oceans, blue green,
and it's beneath the dappled surface that we share our passion,
and we've witnessed some of the finest miracles ever seen.
See, Mignonne, hath not the Rose,
That this morning did unclose
Her purple mantle to the light,
Lost, before the day be dead,
The glory of her raiment red,
Her colour, bright as yours is bright?
But I'll spend the rest of my life making you happy,
let me be your light that brightens the gloom,
and once again, you can put us (and my furniture) together,
once again maybe, we can share a hotel room.
So thanks for teaching me how to dream,
thanks for teaching me to get up after a fall,
Dad, just know that I love you very much,
you?re the King of Hearts, to Blue, the greatest one of all.
The most loving person you could ever meet,
your infectious laugh would light up any room,
and now you have gone, the world seems darker,
how we need your smile to lift the gloom.
I wanted to express my undying love for you,
and to thank you for everything you're ever done,

So, let's leave the past in the past,
you simply can't undo what's already been done,

I feel that we've weathered most of our storms,
and you've been my anchor to keep me safe at night,

I also appreciate how you're learning to deal with my moods,
as you know, I can swing from very high to pretty low,
you have the ability to bring me out from the deepest blue,
and those are depths that no one should ever know.
