She had a zest for life, she survived two husbands,
not that she needed them but she also had two face lifts,
she loved to dance, play cards and to travel,
and she shared with us all her many gifts.
You play Canasta, sometimes a (NAME)
and you know what baseball and football's all about,
and (NAME) once made you an offer that was hard to refuse,
"I've got two big ones, do you wanna go out?"

and she shared with us all her many gifts.
And you can have the biggest house in the world,
and you can have a holiday in perfect paradise,
but if you can't find the time for love,
I'll tell you, it's just not worth the price.
And her short bread biscuits were simply to die for,
not to mention her sweet potato and macaroni & cheese,
and I'll never forget the Christmas Mock Crayfish,
the best ever. (Would you like some more? Yes, please!)
I know it's been difficult at times,
but we share our thoughts and find a way,
and the solution is always amicable and mutual,
now, I do have just one last thing to say:
(NAME) had numerous stories about her childhood,
the farm, walking to school and having the first Model T,
and I remember as a child myself, trips to Aunt (NAME),
we'd play with the cousins (and that was a great place to be).
I'm trying to find the right words to express exactly how I feel
but it's hard to describe what's in your heart and soul,
just know that, with you, I feel so loved, so complete,
yes, you are the only one that could ever make me completely whole.
Because you have persistently and consistently loved us,
and it seems like 'you' is always the last thing on your mind,
you have this wonderful gift of being able to inspire,
and we know that's a treasure and so very hard to find.
You've been awarded the Peace Prize three years running,
there's not a more deserving cause on planet Earth,
and we, for two, know your true and honest value,
yes, we know exactly what our daughter's really worth.
So, please raise your glasses,
and find a new circle of friends,
because if you're not that careful,
the gutter is where your journey ends.
She loved music and dancing and she taught us the box step,
I'll never forget the summer fun and dancing at Torch Lake,
we also loved to listen to her play the piano,
nearly as much as the apple pies she used to bake.
We always have only happy, never sad, moments,
it's because we can't find thing to disagree about,
and I just wanted to thank you for being you,
you've taught this girl what love is all about.
You're three years older than me, I like that,
and you're about 5'6, with beautiful big brown eyes,
you've a stunning body, a flat stomach, a beautiful ass,
although I guess this should come as no surprise.
We said that if we could make it through those early years, well, we
could make it through anything life had to bring, and what doesn't kill
us will only make us stronger, so now I find that you are my all, my
everything.
Our love just grows and grows with every day that passes,
so tomorrow, I know that I'll love you even more than today,
my heart and soul belong to you until the day I die,
but I know in the hereafter, I will also find a way.
I'm sorry that you think that I hate you,
but in truth, nothing is farther from my mind,
because I love you, you are so precious,
and a love like ours is so very hard to find.
Because you taught me that everything is possible,
and now I find a way, because you gave me the will,
and I know you stayed with Mom as long as you could,
but at the end of the day, she?s really quite ill.
You're emotionally mature, spiritually enlightened,
you're funny, caring, loving and oh so kind,
you're passionate, compassionate and unconditional,
and I know that a love like ours is so hard to find.
We always have only happy, never sad, moments,
it's because we can't find thing to disagree about,
and I just wanted to thank you for being you,
you've taught this girl what love is all about.
I know you're both nervous about being parents,
but you'll find it'll come naturally and those worries will end,
and Dad already knows that he's so very lucky,
(because he's married his very best friend).
Even after three years, I'm absolutely crazy about you,
but I really miss you on those fishing weekends,
I still get a pain in my heart when I know you're going away,
but look, I don't want to spoil your "passion" time, with your friends.
Because within three months we'd decided to marry,
thank God for too much alcohol and a missed train,
because if you asked me to marry you tomorrow,
I would do all this, without hesitation, all over again.

We also know that you like your shopping,
although it can be difficult to find the right dress,
but we also know that persistence always pays off,
and that's why you've filled our lives with such happiness.
So now I find that I'm so, so in the wrong,
it's like I've got two left feel and want to dance,
and all I'm asking for, no, I'm begging for,
please, please, just give me one more chance.
I only knew you for those three short months,
three short months before we tied the knot,
but now, one year later, I know that I'm lucky,
in truth, I'm so very grateful for my lot.
