Give of themselves, give to others,
and make your life truly worthwhile,
because I guarantee you?ll win either way,
because after all, what if this is just a trial?
You own a spa, massages, facials, make up,
personal training, you know, that sort of thing,
but there's something missing in your life,
even though you're wearing that wedding ring.
And it's that love that will make me well again,
and then once again, we can have our wings unfurled,
because we've been on some great trips together,
so it won't be long before once again, we're exploring this world.
Look, I'm the maid of honor here,
and I certainly don't want to preach,
but I'm going to share a few thoughts,
and I'll try not to make this a boring old speech.
I never imagined I'd ever meet someone so special,
honestly, not even in my wildest and hopeful dreams,
but ever since we met, I have felt truly blessed,
and we do make one of the world's finest teams.
And her short bread biscuits were simply to die for,
not to mention her sweet potato and macaroni & cheese,
and I'll never forget the Christmas Mock Crayfish,
the best ever. (Would you like some more? Yes, please!)
And I will also always be there for you,
if you ever need a shoulder or a helping hand,
divided we shall fall and be conquered,
but together and united we will make a stand.
Look, I now realize that some things are not meant to be,
and life is never easy, it's not a rose filled dream,
but we can stick together, we can make the distance,
we can prove to the world that we truly are a team.
I hope you know by now that you're my one and only,
in truth, I simply love you with all my heart and soul,
for with you in my life, I feel so complete,
yes, you do make me feel so completely whole.
And what if, after that final breath,
then there is some sort of judgement day?
How on earth will you make your case?
what worthwhile thing could you possibly say?
Just know that I'll always be there for you,
and I promise, I'll never, ever let you down,
I'll always be there to lift you up, to support you,
and I'll make you happy, I'll make you smile (and never frown).
We will love and support you always,
we'll pick you up if you happen to scrape your knee,
but in the meantime, we just wanted to say Happy Graduation,
and thanks (NAME), you make the world a great place to be.
I'm trying to find the right words to express exactly how I feel
but it's hard to describe what's in your heart and soul,
just know that, with you, I feel so loved, so complete,
yes, you are the only one that could ever make me completely whole.
I'm going to miss his tasteless made up jokes,
they were so stupid, you couldn't help but laugh out loud,
and Dad, I know you're listening, I think you're great,
you made me, you make me, feel so very proud.
Because The Drink is a dreadful thing,
it will make you obese and make you fat,
and the more that you drink, the more you will drink,
it's addictive, it's as simple as that.
I am a better person since I met you,
you make me want to be the best that I can,
and I want to give you the happiness that you deserve,
you see, I only want the very best for my man.
When we were little we used to fight over the telephone,
and then we would end up beating up one another,
we used to make fun of (NAME), (NAME) and (NAME),
in those days, their tight pants would make us run for cover.
I hope you know by now that you're my one and only,
in truth, I simply love you with all my heart and soul,
for with you in my life, I feel so complete,
yes, you and the kids make me feel so completely whole.
But I also know that you like to travel,
so now, you're really able to stretch your wings,
and from now on, whenever I hear loud, country music
I'll close my eyes and just imagine how my angel sings.
But in the meantime, let's enjoy what we have right now,
let's make the most of this, our very own 'spot',
because I think it's important that we should just 'be',
with 'us', I think we should recognize just what we've got.
