Little did I know you had feelings for me too,
but night after night, I prayed and prayed
sincere, romantic,funny,respectful and handsome,
when I look at you I see the hand that God has played.
We will love and support you always,
we'll pick you up if you happen to scrape your knee,
but in the meantime, we just wanted to say Happy Graduation,
and thanks (NAME), you make the world a great place to be.
(NAME) had numerous stories about her childhood,
the farm, walking to school and having the first Model T,
and I remember as a child myself, trips to Aunt (NAME),
we'd play with the cousins (and that was a great place to be).
I am so happy to have you in my life,
we never argue and it's "me" you understand,
I can always come to you with any problem,
and you'll lend a sympathetic ear or a helping hand.
In gymnastics, you do back hand springs and front flips,
and we know you love flying across the uneven bars,
and we also know that you're going to fly through life,
who knows? Maybe one day you'll be one of the Olympic stars.
She loved music and dancing and she taught us the box step,
I'll never forget the summer fun and dancing at Torch Lake,
we also loved to listen to her play the piano,
nearly as much as the apple pies she used to bake.

divided we shall fall and be conquered,
but together and united we will make a stand.
You've achieved so much, your grades are great,
and you've had a spectacular year in the xxth grade,
you're so busy with all of your after school activities,
and spending time with the friends that you've made.
She loved music and dancing and she taught us the box step,
I'll never forget the summer fun and dancing at Torch Lake,
we also loved to listen to her play the piano,
nearly as much as the apple pies she used to bake.
I am so happy to have you in my life,

And I know we complained a bit at the time,
but working in the school holidays made us realize,
and those days have formed the basis of my work ethic today,
although I guess by now, this comes as no surprise.
You have also have attended so many dance watch nights,
dance recitals, school plays and concerts and many a basketball game,
let's not forget the soccer, baseball and of course, Amanda's softball,
if you weren't there, it just never felt the same.
I know we have roach problems in the summer,
in the winter we can see our breath in the shower,
and year round, having hot water is a crap shoot,
and we can get a cold drenching at any hour.
And her short bread biscuits were simply to die for,
not to mention her sweet potato and macaroni & cheese,
and I'll never forget the Christmas Mock Crayfish,
the best ever. (Would you like some more? Yes, please!)
(NAME) had numerous stories about her childhood,

(NAME), you are giving and loving, so very,
(NAME), you are compassionate and kind,
and this is just a part of what we think of you,
because there are so many other thoughts that spring to mind.
And now you may go on to study law,
just know, whatever, we're very proud of you,
just remember the values that you hold dear,
and truly believe in whatever you decide to do.
So I kept on insisting that I would wear it,
especially for my annual school photo shoot,
Gran, you used to get into trouble a lot by Mom & Dad
because you were very generous with your hard earned loot.
I also can't believe the depth of feeling I have for you,
truly, it would reach to the bottom of the deepest sea,
and I'll never forget the our first date with your hand on my back,
what ran through me I can only describe as electricity.
And we've watched in awe as our boys have grown,
(NAME) definitely has inherited your personality,
(NAME) will graduate from Medical School in July,
and (NAME NAME) is on the way to all that he can be.
And I'm glad I held your hand at the very last,
it seemed so fitting, we'd been through so much together,
so Dad, just know that I miss you and I love you very much,
and one day, we'll be fishing again, but this time, forever and ever.
Every time you?d pick me up from school in that Renault,
well, it made me appreciate everything you?ve done,
because your love has been my light, my inspiration,
in every way, you?ve been like my morning sun.
