I know our relationship wasn?t easy,
but life is never a rose filled dream,
but we had deep belief in our strong and powerful love,
with (NAME), I proved to The World we truly were a team.
So, (NAME), (NAME)says sorry
and please forgive the sins of his past,
because the future person is here today
and he wants a relationship that will last and last.
Our relationship is the best I've ever had,
you truly are my soul-mate and the love of my life,
I just wanted to say, "I'm proud of you",
and very proud to be known as your wife.
Our trip to New Zealand was simply wonderful,
our relationship was sealed as our sails unfurled,
and there we were together, so in love,
and on the other side of the world.
So I wasn't looking for a relationship,
but like that ship, I didn't account for the winds of fate,
and now I'm just so thankful for those favorable breezes,
because of them, I've finally found my soul-mate.
But that never stopped us spending a lot of time outdoors,
and Dad would take us fishing, all five kids on the bank,
he spent his entire time untangling and baiting hooks,
but it was great fun (and we know who we've got to thank).
But (NAME), thanks for getting my boyfriend to smoke again,
despite your best efforts, I still got him to quit,
but if I had to sum up our relationship in one line,
brother, (NAME), I think this would be it:
We have such a close relationship,
although at times you can choose to unload,
but it's OK, I understand,
you're just dealing with another kink in the road.
Actually, the children have made it easy for us to come together,
and because of them, our relationship has soared,
and I guess we've had some very worthy blessings,
because we did meet in the house of The Lord.
We were just right together,
like all of the best teams,
a relationship built on trust,
hope, excitement and our dreams.
Instead of embracing you and our relationship,
I began to knit pick and pushed you away,
and I let many issues get the better of us,
and September 24, 2005 became, just another day.
Our adversities have only made our relationship stronger,
and where are the doubters who said we?d never last?
And I?m proud we ate MREs and slept on a poncho,
no one can ever take that from us, that?s our past!
Our relationship has been a journey,
at times, it's been a rough and rocky climb,
but along the way, I've collected some thoughts,
and I think I'd like to share them (I think it's time).
We're so proud of your relationship,
the perfect epitome of a husband and wife,
and if I could not have a marriage like yours,
well, then I'd rather be single for the rest of my life!
Soon after, the prince had to travel to some far off country,
but warm and heartfelt e-mails and letters warmed that land,
and although these two lovers shared a long distance relationship,
there's was obviously nothing physical, you understand.
You see, I aspire to your kind of relationship,
it's one where the mail is always on time,
it's one where you sing and dance in the kitchen,
even when you can't get your words to rhyme.
Soon after, the prince had to travel to some far off country,
but warm and heartfelt e-mails and letters warmed that land,
and although these two lovers shared a long distance relationship,
there's was obviously nothing physical, you understand.
Now, it's been quite hard to spend time with each other,
and that has certainly caused some clouds of gloom,
it would be awkward to have an open relationship,
but I do enjoy those moments in my operating room.
Son, we've always had a close relationship,
that was, until you got married, just a year ago,
and now I've got some thoughts on my mind,
yes, there's a few heartfelts that you should know:
I really do value our relationship,
I need your love and support to make me complete,
I can't imagine my future without you,
it's a future that I never, ever want to meet.
Because I was never very close to you growing up,
but that's only because father's drinking tore us apart,
we would talk on holidays but that was about it,
so our relationship didn't exactly get off to a flying start.
And it started as a distant relationship,
we were many miles apart,
we were separated by geography,
but we were joined together at the heart.
But instead, we had such a wonderful day,
and we know exactly who we have to thank,
and if our gratitude was a mountain of money,
well, that would make the world's biggest bank.
Seriously, I would like us to be in more of a relationship,
I'd like to explore just where this journey ends,
but just in case, just in case that never happens,
I want you to know I'm also happy to be just friends.
Because I think our relationship is extraordinary,
(NAME) Raisin and Dop-a-dee-dee,
he's given me so much throughout my life
and he means the very world to me.
But now I?ve finally "grown up",
I have discovered what a parent?s love is truly worth,
because the relationship I have with the pair of you,
it?s precious, in fact, it?s the most precious thing on this earth.
But it took us 17 long years to reconnect,
and in Princeton, we re-found what we?d once lost,
but since then, we?ve suffered a long distance relationship,
but that was the pact we made (and we knew the cost).
Because now, we value our relationship a great deal,
and we've all grown up to be the very best of friends,
and now you're going to be busy being a mum,
but I want to make sure that's not where our "we" ends.
We have such a close relationship,
although at times you can choose to unload,
but it's OK, I understand,
you're just dealing with another kink in the road.
