But we managed to get through that year,
and the next year you moved down the street from me,
you bought me a puppy, (NAME), for my birthday,
and truly, that was the best gift there ever will be.
And you're such a perfect gent, a true romantic,
your little presents always give me a such lift,
and you've told me that even when we're married,
you said that you'll still make a point of giving me a gift.
Well, I think "you", are indeed, my real gift,
because I love you truly, with all my heart and soul,
for with you in my life, I feel complete,
you are the one that makes me completely whole.
She loved the Lord and shared that gift with us all,
she had a big heart and taught us all how to give,
she was always thinking of and doing for others,
in truth, I think she taught us all how to live.
I'll never forget the restaurant,
and I'll never forget your look of surprise,
you didn't say anything, your expression spoke volumes,
there was just this amazing excitement, there in your eyes.
Well, I think "you", are indeed, my real gift,
because I love you truly, with all my heart and soul,
for with you in my life, I feel complete,
you are the one that makes me completely whole.
You gave me the courage to follow in your steps,
and at the end of day, that?s the greatest gift of all,
as Dad, because of you I walk taller,
in fact, I feel like I?m ten feel tall!
But you've always given us so much in our lives,
in truth, you've given the greatest gift, that's your time,
you still go to every school and sporting event,
truly, you've put the reason in every rhyme.
There we were on the beach of Hawaii,
and I had to ask you if this was just a dream,
because truly, I?d dreamt a lot about that day,
the moment when we finally really became a team.
Our telepathy is such a beautiful gift,
and it's one that I treasure and behold,
and I'm so looking forward to our future,
to our future stories, as yes unwritten and untold.
Actually, (NAME) and (NAME) hated each other,
and one time, at the beach, they got into a fight,
but gladly the family feud didn't spoil things,
and soon it was Burger King on a Saturday night.
And we?ll never forget those two torturous days,
I think the Watermelon Wagon was ahead of it?s time,
we remember begging you to pick us up from Surf Beach,
but you still managed to put reason in our rhyme.
Maybe we should have put it in our gift baskets,
but I guess we were busy enough just with the flowers,
I remember Dad helping mom and I with the deliveries,
and he'd still make us laugh (after working all hours).
He marveled in the miracle of medicine,
when my twins miraculously pulled through
and he, like them, is a gift from God
and you should know that we're all very proud of you.
She loved the Lord and shared that gift with us all,

in truth, I think she taught us all how to live.
I remember our first Valentines Day,
If I recall correctly, you took me to the beach,
but since then, I've learnt so much,
you see, there are many lessons that I could teach.
Our first date was at the Orchids restaurant,
you putt off buying a bike to pay for that date,
and I just wanted to say "I love you",
(NAME), truly, you are my one and only soul-mate.
As you know, it?s our one year anniversary,
and I?ve really enjoyed our first year together,
and I?ve been struggling to get you something affordable and memorable,
a type of gift that we?ll treasure and cherish forever.
Truly, I think you're a gift from God for (NAME) and I,
so gratefully, I will turn my eyes to the heavens above,
because I know I've been blessed to have shared you,
I know that I've been blessed with your love.
Because you have persistently and consistently loved us,
and it seems like 'you' is always the last thing on your mind,
you have this wonderful gift of being able to inspire,
and we know that's a treasure and so very hard to find.
I remember your beautiful speech and the chocolates,
and never has there been a more thoughtful gift,
but I just got embarrassed and then pathetically angry,
now I just realize you were trying to give me a lift.
So thanks ? to the owners,
For their cash, dedication and support,
Their kind of loyalty,
Is a gift that can?t be bought.

Then in simply stunning and beautiful Barbados,
we borrowed a torch and watched the turtles hatch,
and on that beach I said "I do" to that lifetime of happiness,
I was happy, at last I'd found my truly perfect match.
So know that I've finally forgiven you,
(and that's a pretty good place to start),
and please accept my birthday gift of love,
some forgiving words from the heart !
