Actually, I used to get jealous when you'd date other girls,
because my feelings for you were growing, here inside,
and I asked God to send me someone just like you,
and He couldn't have done better - even if He'd tried!
She loved the Lord and shared that gift with us all,
she had a big heart and taught us all how to give,
she was always thinking of and doing for others,
in truth, I think she taught us all how to live.

Well, I think "you", are indeed, my real gift,
because I love you truly, with all my heart and soul,
for with you in my life, I feel complete,
you are the one that makes me completely whole.
Look, I've never been unfaithful to you,
all I did was go on a rebound date,
but it's only you that I really want,
because you are it, my one and only soul-mate.
Actually, Mom was dating someone else,
that was when Dad first asked her out,
so she promptly broke her date,
and found out what true love is all about.
I remember your beautiful speech and the chocolates,
and never has there been a more thoughtful gift,
but I just got embarrassed and then pathetically angry,
now I just realize you were trying to give me a lift.
You gave me the courage to follow in your steps,
and at the end of day, that?s the greatest gift of all,
as Dad, because of you I walk taller,
in fact, I feel like I?m ten feel tall!
So quite aptly, on our first date we went off to Pirate?s Cove,
quite romantic for a putt-putt place on the beachside,
after that summer, I went to UCF and you were still in high school,
it was a rough year (not helped my that hour's long ride).
We've been apart since our wedding,
a cold wintry morning on (DATE)
but it's only our jobs and circumstance that could separate us,
because only with you, my world's a better place to be.
Actually, on our first date, his reputation preceded him,
so he said: "Don't compliment yourself" (as I jumped out of the car),
but now (NAME), I think it's time for me to compliment you,
because I've never said just how wonderful you really are.
Well, I think "you", are indeed, my real gift,
because I love you truly, with all my heart and soul,
for with you in my life, I feel complete,
you are the one that makes me completely whole.
And you're such a perfect gent, a true romantic,
your little presents always give me a such lift,
and you've told me that even when we're married,
you said that you'll still make a point of giving me a gift.
I also can't believe the depth of feeling I have for you,
truly, it would reach to the bottom of the deepest sea,
and I'll never forget the our first date with your hand on my back,
what ran through me I can only describe as electricity.
You are the greatest gift on earth,
in fact, a gift from God above,
and now I know the meaning of marriage,
and now I know the meaning of true love.
You're a terrific husband, Dad and son,
and our 39 years together have simply been a blast,
and the love that we share has blossomed,
and I've got a feeling that fruit is going to last.
Because you have persistently and consistently loved us,
and it seems like 'you' is always the last thing on your mind,
you have this wonderful gift of being able to inspire,
and we know that's a treasure and so very hard to find.

you didn't like my sweater but loved my car,
as usual, we had egg drop soup and hot and sour soup,
I never thought two bowls of soup would get this far.

you putt off buying a bike to pay for that date,
and I just wanted to say "I love you",

you said that you'll still make a point of giving me a gift.
(NAME) is the first date to actually become a part of the family,
and thankfully, we don't just see him on the holidays,
it is quite apparent that he loves (NAME) very much,
and of course, I hope that's the way it always stays.
We met on a blind date, but I was not blind,
I liked you immediately, as you talk and dance with your hands,
you are also extremely smart and intelligent,
and you always give me an ear that understands.
