We love, we listen, we understand one another,
and we never take an argument to bed
and I know that, just over twenty years ago,
"I do" were the finest words I ever said.
Everyone that knew you, loved you,
and you got the most out of each and every day,
even after working such long hours you wanted more,
and that one line leaves so much left to say:
I could go on but the major point I want to stress is this:
I love you with every fiber of my being, my very soul,
for <NAME>, with you in my life I feel complete,
yes, you are the one that makes me completely whole.
You gave me the courage to follow in your steps,
and at the end of day, that?s the greatest gift of all,
as Dad, because of you I walk taller,
in fact, I feel like I?m ten feel tall!
Because it's normally you that calls me up,
yet you don't normally want us to get together,
you say you feel guilty about cheating and all that,
but I'm the one who's reaching the end of his tether.
What a really stupid saying:
"Let's have one more for the road",
take a life when you've been drinking,
and you'll never repay what is owed.
You're one of the stars in the soup kitchen,
and surely one of the stars from the heavens above,
we know that we've been blessed to have shared you,
we know that we've been blessed with your love.
We just wanted to thank you for being you,
and to encourage you to all that you can become,
just know that you're a credit to this family,
and that you have one very proud Dad and one very proud Mom.
I don't know how we are going to continue without you,
so I'm going to carry you here with me, in my soul,
for with you in my life, I did feel complete,
yes (NAME), you are the one that makes me completely whole.
You keep God at your very center,
He is there with you, inside your very soul,
and we know that it is He that completes you,
He is the one that makes you completely whole.
You've always been such a kind and generous man,
you've helped many people when they've had difficult times,
and I just wanted to thank you for being you,
you are the one that has put the reason in these rhymes.
We have our beautiful children,
in life we've been truly blessed,
and of all the mothers in the world,
you simply are one of the best.
You?ve always been an incredibly honest person,
and honesty has been just one of the lessons that you?ve taught,
but you?ve always been there for both of us,
so we?d like to thank you for your unconditional support.
But you made many sacrifices for our educations,
because you wanted to give us the very best of starts,
and of all the 52 cards in any one pack,
we?re very lucky, we drew the Kings of Hearts.
Because you have shown me what love is for,
and the love that two people can have for one another,
you have shown me how to be a devoted wife,
and of course, how to be a wonderful mother.
Even though you've lost the love of your life,
(and this is one of those meaningful rhymes),
The Lord will give you all of His strength,
to get you through your more difficult times.
Last year I searched so many stores,
in truth, I searched long and hard, high and low,
but I ended up giving you chocolates and a card,
and now there are some things you need to know.
Because several months ago, I started thinking,
and I started to compile what is quite a list,
because I wanted you to know why I love you,
and I don't think there's one thing that I've missed.
I also wanted to say what a beautiful lady you are,
not only are you attractive, you're also very smart,
I don't think you should listen to what your husband says,
this success story spotted another one right from the start.
So, you will continue to be my lifelong companion,
and I know at times, that's going to be pretty hard,
but maybe I'll take you skydiving or parasailing,
maybe I'll even pay for a meal with your library card.
And did you know that when you left home,
well, I cried me a river for some days,
it felt like I was all alone, center stage,
it felt like I was starring in one of those tragic plays.
I hope you know by now that you're my one and only,
in truth, I simply love you with all my heart and soul,
for with you in my life, I feel so complete,
yes, you do make me feel so completely whole.
Watch out for that lunchtime drink,
it will take your sweet breath away,
and when you've had one too many,
it's so very hard (hic) to have your say.
