A Time
They say there's a time to keep silent,
but this is my time to speak,
I must admit I'm a little nervous,
in fact, I've been worrying about this all week.
To everything there is a season,
a time for every purpose under heaven above,
I would like to thank God for our dinner
and thank Him for all His love.
They say that there is a time to tear
and they say there's a time to sew,
it's something that's written in The Bible,
it's maybe something some of you already know.
And <Name> and <Name> have shared their time,
they've shared their laughter and their tears,
there's been a time to weep and a time to laugh,
for they've shared a wonderful, blessed <Number> years.
And I humbly ask God for his blessing,
on them and all who are gathered here tonight,
I would like to thank Him for his guidance
and thank Him for his radiant light.
I also ask God to bless our dinner
and thank Him for providing us with such wonderful fare,
also thanks for looking after <Name> and <Name>
and for providing them with such tender, loving care.
In fact, my heart is filled with thanks,
for I know what all our blessings are worth,
so in closing, I would just like to thank The Lord
and thank Him for our blessed time on earth.
Because you had an attitude where it was never that bad,
you never worried about a single thing,
you made more people laugh with your poems and sayings,
and everybody just loved to hear you sing.
I know I should count my blessings,
because I feel like the luckiest girl on this earth,
for I know the value of your love,
and I know exactly what that love is worth.
We always said our prayers

Faith
We always said our prayers
respectfully and every night we'd kneel,
we thanked the Lord for our blessings
before and after every meal.
We always went to church,
on Sundays and Holy days,
and that faith has been rewarded,
it's come back in <Number> different ways.
Because we've been blessed to have you in our lives,
in truth, we've been blessed by the heavens above,
and we're so lucky to have you as parents,
we've all felt the warmth of your love.
Taking the hilly way home from church
was always, to us, a special treat,
and those memories make up who we are,
and our family makes us so wonderfully complete.
We grew up on a farm,
where the cows were milked by hand,
the boys helped Dad, the girls helped Mom,
just the way the good Lord planned.
Hoeing, fencing, picking stones, bailing hay,
planting and harvesting crops in the summer sun,
Mom did a lot of baking, cooking, washing
and you know a woman's work is never done.
Economically, it was difficult raising <Number> children,
but we always had the determination to achieve,
we didn't have much in a material sense,
but we always had our faith in which to believe.
We were rich in the terms of companionship,
and that's a treasure that's never lost,
and butchering chickens and the boys hair,
Mom and Dad did everything to reduce the cost.
Mom's speciality was home baked bread,
Dad was famous for his Sunday barbeque,
ice cream was a special treat on a Saturday night,
Sundays we threw the odd dart and horseshoe.
Christmas was always a special time,
apart from when the pony got stuck in the snow,
and we remember that trip to the Smoky Mountains,
(vehicles with flat tyres just don't go.)
Our family was full of fun and adventure,
with seven boys nothing was a surprise,
and you can still see that spirit in all of us,
because it's there, right before our eyes.
You see, Mom and Dad did so much for us,
and their love for us kept on shining bright,
they brought us up the best that they could
and most importantly they shared their light.
They're both such very hard workers,
in fact, the hardest workers I've ever met,
and they've given us the greatest gift of all,
and we know that we'll forever be in their debt.
Because they have passed their faith on,
our childhood has shaped each of us in a very unique way,
we just wanted you to know how important you are,
and how important you'll always stay.
Because you've done so very much for us,
our hearts are full with thankful admiration,
and your commitment to one another in marriage,
well, that's truly our real inspiration.
And we just wanted to say Happy <Number> anniversary
I guess that's really what these words are for,
here's to you Mom and Dad, you're wonderful
and here's to our everlasting faith, for evermore.

because we did meet in the house of The Lord.

Like The Song
I have some special thoughts for you,
they're the kind of words the angels must have sung,
and I hope you find the meaning in the lines,
because the heart that loves is forever young.
Two souls with but a single thought,
what were two hearts now beat as one,
and I wish for you only eternal happiness,
I wish you long days of fun-filled summer sun.
And our story that started back in <Place>,
well, since then we've all spread our wings,
but I'm so glad you've found your happiness,
you've found the gold in your wedding rings.
You and <Name> are simply made for each other,
and I'm sure your life together will be a dream,

it's quite obvious you make remarkable team.
Two Virgoans, born under the same sign,

From The Day I Met You
From the day I met you, I knew,
I knew here was happiness for the rest of my life,
I knew that I'd love you forever and ever,
I knew that one day, today, I'd be your wife.
You see, no one has completed me like you,
and I do love you with all my heart and soul,
for with you in my life, I feel complete,
you are the one that makes me completely whole.
You're emotionally mature, spiritually enlightened,
you're funny, caring, loving and oh so kind,
you're passionate, compassionate and unconditional,
and I know that a love like ours is so hard to find.
Actually, I could go on and on and on,
because truly, you're the greatest man I've ever met,
and although we've shared so many wonderful times,
as the saying goes: "You ain't seen nothing yet".
I believe we have known each other before now,
and that's why we've chosen our paths together,
a journey that was started so long ago,
a journey that's destined to last forever and ever.
You accept me for who I am,
and I've never said just how wonderful you are,
but if my love for you were a distance,
then it would be further than the furthest star.
I love the way that you accept my emotional baggage,
but I must admit, you've lightened my load,
and I think it's funny you're such a terrible driver,
I'm getting used to shouting "Get out of the road!".
Actually, you have a wicked sense of humor,
but you also have a brain that likes to forget,
and when we can stop laughing we call each other "schmucko",
I scmucko, take you schmucko...hang on, not yet!
Because we've shared so many great times,
precious memories, that I'll always treasure and keep,
like the time at <Place> we ate in the room,
very romantic, (too much wine and we fell asleep).
I'll never forget our engagement dinner,
but your proposal got delayed by my surprise,
so you proposed to me at <Number> am in the morning,
of course I said "yes" (after I'd wiped the sleep from my eyes).
And I know that <Name> loves you too,
in fact, I'm a little worried about being traded in,
but Mi Mom, I know I've been blessed to have met you,
you've taught me to smile, laugh, chortle and grin.
And <Name> and <Name> are here with us today,
because their spirit lives on, inside of us all,
and I know you wish I could have met <Name>,
but it's OK, she had to answer God's call.
And I also know that we have their blessings,
and that is something I know here, deep inside,
because they too know I couldn't have picked a finer husband,
they know I couldn't - even if I'd tried.
And from the day that I met you,

Because you always write me little notes and poems,
and many of those touch my heart, my very soul,

This Beautiful, Living Thing
Hello, my wonderful <Name>,
these words are just for you,
because I'm proud of who you are,
and I'm very proud of what you do.
I just wanted to say "I love you",
but in truth, I didn't know where to start,
so I thought I'd share a few feelings,
and give you some words, straight from the heart:
Firstly, I'd like to begin by looking skywards,
and thanking those in the heavens above,
because I know I've been blessed to have shared you,
I know that I've been blessed with your love.
I can't believe it's been <Number> year already,
I can't believe how quickly that time has flown,
but I just wanted to thank you for being you ,
I'm very grateful for the love that you've shown.
Our keeps getting stronger every day ,
so tomorrow, I know that I'll love you even more so ,
and I just wanted to thank you for being you.
but there's a few other things that you should know:
You've come a long way from <Place>,
and you've completed your Master's degree,
Reshma, I just wanted to say "I love you",
you've made my world a great place to be.
We've both come a long way from <Place>,
that's where we walked and talked, getting to know one another ,
that's where we discussed trust, support and the BIG STEP that's where I fell
in love with my lifelong friend and lover.
We started with a small affair at Brent Registry Office,
but a few months later we entertained around 1000 guests,
we sought the blessings of the Gods, our family and friends,
well, I reckon that, with honours, we've passed many of the tests
I know that you had to leave friends and family behind ,
because Stevenage is for now, our place on Earth,
but in our time together, I've discovered your true and honest value,
yes, I know exactly what my wife's love is really worth.
We have begun our journey in life together,
and we've sought minimal guidance from the outside ,
and I know I couldn't have chosen a finer wife,
I know I couldn't - even if I'd tried.
I know it's been difficult at times,
but we share our thoughts and find a way,
and the solution is always amicable and mutual,
now, I do have just one last thing to say:
Because I know you have an interest in dancing ,
and that you've performed on the stage many times ,
you've also choreographed for some children in <Place>,
let me tell you, you've put the reasons in these rhymes
I just wanted to tell you of my love for you,
I guess I've never really said just how wonderful you are,
