You wrote and read a poem at your father?s service,
and you spoke about him missing your wedding day,
and although that one line expresses so much,
it still means there's so much left to say:
I do hope that this anniversary is our best ever,
because I've never really expressed just how wonderful you are,
but if my love for you were a distance,
then it would be further than the furthest star.
But I also wanted to say Happy 5th Anniversary,
I guess that's really what these words are for,
here's to you, (NAME), you're truly wonderful,
and here's to our everlasting love, for evermore.
I also wanted to say Happy 10th Anniversary,
I guess that's really what these words are for,
here's to you, (NAME), you're truly wonderful,
and here's to our everlasting love, for evermore.
And we just wanted to say Happy 50th Anniversary,
I guess that's really what these words are for,
here's to you, Mom and Dad, you're truly wonderful,
and here's to at least another fifty more.
I also wanted to say Happy 1st Anniversary,

here's to you, my heartfelt (NAME), you're wonderful,
and here's to our everlasting love, for evermore.
And I guess we were always looking in the wrong places,
but my parent's hopes were right all that time,
and they say that everything happens for a reason,
well, I know you are the reason in my rhyme.
And we just wanted to say Happy 25th Anniversary,
I guess that's really what these words are for,
here's to you Mom and Dad, you're truly wonderful,
and here's to at least, another twenty five more.
I also wanted to say Happy First Anniversary,
I guess that's really what these words are for,
here's to you, (NAME), you're wonderful,
and here's to our everlasting love, for evermore.
So, there he was, April 20, 1945, in (PLACE),
and the hospital happily resounded to: "It's a boy!",
truly, he was his parent's dreams personified,
in every way, he was their pride and joy.
I do hope that this anniversary is our best ever,
because I've never really expressed just how wonderful you are,
but if my love for you were a distance,
then it would be further than the furthest star.
And we'd like to say Happy Fiftieth Anniversary,
but these lines can all be summed up just like this,
because your marriage has been truly exemplary,
so, congratulations on 50 years of pure wedded bliss!
