What a happy anniversary
I hope that this anniversary is one of our best ever,
because I've never really expressed just how wonderful you are,
but if my love for you were a distance,
then it would be further than the furthest star.
I also wanted to say Happy 1st Anniversary,
I guess that's really what these words are for,

you and the Grand Canyon made the perfect honeymoon.

the shady men in the lobby should have given you a clue,
but the room (dreary and sad) and the curtains (all dingy and torn),
decided very quickly that the Taft was the thing to do.

Now, I guess the very worst scenario,
is that you don?t get to hear or sing an angels song,
maybe there?s no afterlife, after all,
and religion has got it all so very wrong.
